2 firsts so you can play a middle of the road 5'10" PG at SG? You know if you were playing at the 6-foot and under league at the local YMCA that would be considered dominant...

Michael Jordan's brother was a superstar in a 6'4 and under league in the 80s.

2 firsts for mighty mouse was a joke. i offered a 2nd round pick for him. and lakers getting soto upsets me, because i tried to get him earlier with haywood and was turned down.

Don't really get trading 3 firsts and 2 2nd's for Boozer, then trading him away for two firsts, one of which is 4 years from now?

Don't really get trading 3 firsts and 2 2nd's for Boozer, then trading him away for two firsts, one of which is 4 years from now? the whole point of that was to get my first pick this year back...since my teams no where near competing and i traded my 2nd leading scorer for 2 more 1sts

Meanwhile you trade the Warriors pick and two of your futures to get him.

It was a no brainer for me. That Hornets pick was an add on to the previous deal, and adding boozer was something I was interested in doing last season. I've got enough defense at the 3 major positions, so that C+ can in a way, be forgiven.. BUT NOT FOR LONG BOOZER, you better shape up.

i also dont like the same deal split in two...it's like cheating the system
but then again, so is a trade exception...if you really think about it
there should be a rule that at least x amount of days before the same two teams can trade with each other

It's actually never happened and I absolutely agree with Len that it's shady horseshit but whatever. Shady horseshit? It's me, and it's Will. I don't see a rule against it anywhere. If there is that hasn't been posted already, link me, otherwise, I see no reason why this shouldn't go through.

deals are usually split into two if more than 10 players are involved, but not in this case

the rule is that you have to make a trade working under the salary cap rules. it is written in the fbb program itself.

I don't see a problem really, whats the difference between posting the 2nd deal now than like after the next sim, maybe calling it part 2 was part of the problem, technically its just two separate deals. Personally I think its fine and should be allowed but hey its not my call.
But I agree with Brandon there is no rule against it now, maybe this might prompt a rule if you guys feel strongly about it but as of right now it should be allowed imo.

the rule is that you have to make a trade working under the salary cap rules. it is written in the fbb program itself. Both of them do. I've seen a few occasions where people deal with the same time a couple times in a row...I've done so with Nick before, and MP as well too. The fact that I put "Part 2", which was me not thinking, is what caused the moaning I presume. If I had taken that out, I don't think we'd be talking about this right now.

I really dont see a big deal. People are gonna find creative ways to get around the salary cap. It's part of the job of being a GM in these leagues. It's not like either of those deals is a bad trade that's gonna ruin a franchise.

If you pulled this in any of the other ssbl's I woulda laughed and voided.
What, giving you a hand already by adding $5 million to the deal isn't enough? You're already screwing the system. This would be ass raping the system. ;D

This would be ass raping the system. ;D I know it's not exactly the right way to do it, but there's no rules against it and there's really no precedent to void this trade. Just thinking justly, the trades should be passed and the rule should be added after.

But if you can't find me a rule that says we can't do that, then I think we have nothing to really complain about here. Plain and simple.

Well the fact that you can only buy a trade exception up to $5 million, that doesn't set the precedent? Quit being a friggin' stickler and just admit that it's total crap. None of us have managed to pull it because we all know that it's crap. If we thought it wasn't a bullshit thing, dnom and robby woulda pulled it 75 times by now. I'll again say, you know it's crap and if you were thinking about the LEAGUE and not your TEAM, you'd come to that same conclusion.
I honestly wouldn't be putting up a stink here if it weren't for you going out of your way to make sense of something completely nonsensical. You're not a new guy, you've been with us for years and you're just now pulling this garbage. You think that matters too? It sure as shit does to me.
Yeehaw, you get Webber,, en-fucking-joy.
