You would think that a GM that is over the HC would first PM the teams with capspace..
ahem ahem......
I probably would have taken Funderburke for his pick this year and cash for straight cap

Don't you love it when you come to an agreement on the terms of a trade with someone and they fucking move the guy behind your back without even a peep?
Class.

I never said "we have a deal" or anything of that nature. We never found out if you wanted to do the deal since Walker's defensive rating wasn't certain at PF and we never posted anything. I hate when people agree and then back out, but we never had an agreement and with not that much time, I had to make a decision.

I'm not even mad that you traded him elsewhere, I'm mad that you didn't say a damn thing about it. I've known you for a number of years and really man, I expected some notification. You didn't say a damn thing about any other deals you may have been working on, nothing. Just that the deal I offered was "fine".

I know I shouldve sent you a PM, but I was working multiple offers and it just slipped my mind. I'm sorry I didn't send you a PM but again, we never had a concrete agreement so don't make me look like the bad guy

You can't get either with Abdur-Rahim so don't bother my friend. Redd is more likely target for you. You want Gordon or Turk? I'm getting Dirk in the deal.

Is Isiah back!? And then we get this gem: wuhhh? For the reason of it being so big...right? It's not as if it's absent of reason, or totally one sided. Says the guy that is still trying to remove his member from the new guy's bum

All this new Knicks guy woulda had to do is just mention that Amar'e is available and he woulda gotten a far far far far FAR superior offer within 10 minutes.
Gotta protect the franchise here. Knicks would be in dire straights if this passed through. You just can't put that situation in the hands of someone we can't trust at this point.

It's pretty rough man. He's getting a package of guys whose ceilings are high-end BACKUPS and mid round picks. For a franchise player.

The only similarity I see with that video, and the trade is that Alvin Jones has "small hands". D-Wade is under my thumb. Psh.
Fast-forward 4 years - D-Wade and Chris Bosh sign with LeBron in Boston.
"I'm taking my talents to Cape Cod this season."
Sheeeit.

I'll explain myself, and I knew I'd be under criticism for this deal. I knew I dealt the best player away, but if you look at my team I am stuck with a very good young player, an aging player that is most likely declining and a good point guard. Beyond that there isn't much else on the roster. With this deal, I pick up 4 good young players and 2 draft picks. This adds depth and youth as I plan on rebuilding not only around 1 superstar player but around a solid 5. I have a top pick already, with the two deals I have made that gives me 4 picks in the top twenty of this years draft. Not to mention the 5 young players I receive back in the two trades. In past sim leagues I have been in, I've gone the route of building around 1 star played and to be honest, I haven't had as much success as I want. So for this I tried a new strategy and that was to build through youth and the draft. I dont see how dealing 1 player for 6 future players is that lopsided. Yes you never want to give away the best player, but I did look into some offers for Amare, and compared to this one, they were almost apalling.

They're not 4 good young players. They're 4 young backups that have no chance of developing for the most part. You traded Amare for a stockpile of "meh". Doesn't quite lead anyone to believe you're working with a full deck if you know what I'm saying.

I'll let you know right now, I didn't vote for it to pass in the council and I don't think it's gonna pass. You guys might wanna work out another deal or just accept that it's not good in any conceivable way for the Knicks and move on.

Fair enough, I get that you have no faith in me or maybe I just am putting to much faith into Rush and Ellis. With Rush and Ellis, they both have decent scoring both inside and outside. Combine this with Okafor, Mihm and Dalembert, my front court is well rounded with scoring, defense and rebounding. Before this trade my top sf was Marcus Fizer, which is a huge red flag. I picked up two younger players that have put up decent stats. Rush put up 13/6 in 28 mins. I don't see that as pretty meh. So right there I have improved my sf positiong. Also Ellis put up 12/7 in 29 mins, again I dont see this as pretty meh. I understand that Jones and Smtih could very well be at best career back ups, but I do like Smith. This trade along with my other one gives me flexibility in terms of picks, cap space and youth.
