Also, I value defense very highly and a value outside higher for guards, so that is why I value kemba>reke |

All I have to say is that jj trade was absolute shite for the Suns. It could end up being halfway decent, but that is only if Kemba develops. However, nothing the Suns got in that deal will ever amount to jj.

I ended up trading for him in what was a nice package and Durant led me to the promise land a season or two after the trade. |

Seriously... just my luck. Like everyone telling me there was nothing left in Amar'e over at Infinity, but he went and progressed in TC for the Warriors. Son of a... I almost had agent zero for him...
EDIT: but I ain't mad. This is a game of chance, and I'd rather take risks that might not pay off then stand pat with what might not be working.

If Joe Johnson were 34 I say that deal makes sense. You don't trade a guy like Joe Johnson for a longterm prospect like Kemba who looks like crap now and is gonna take 1-2 remarkable TCs and 3 camps to even be an above average PG in this league.
Joe is a once in a league talent, you don't move that for a "maybe solid at some point" guy.

This trade has nothing to do with you as a person, so just relax.  but sometimes you have to go out and make the offers yourself when they're not rolling in. My personal opinion, but I didn't like the deal much... It's good we used the Trade Council though, as it seems like it's the first time it's been used in a couple seasons.

Guy already has a nice outside game if he improves his handling, he should be a legit starter for any team, not just above average. If he has a solid TC and if flip camps him I don't think having a rating of, B- B+ B- B+ B- B, is to far fetched. He camps him agian and he has another solid TC and he should be an all-star. The kid could eventually become B A- B A- B- B. So it's not like he got shit. ohh yeah saying Dajuan Wagner a legit 15+ scorer is a back of the bench player is absured..... And you all forget to relize that Joe Johnson expires after this year, what if I lose him those picks will end up becoming gold. So many factors people are quick to point out that can go anyway. Kemba is trash blah blah blah, well you never know he can become a solid player so leave it at that. |

And "solid player" isn't good enough when you're talking about a guy that has won 4 MVP awards in the last 5 seasons. Change Joe Johnson's name to Michael Jordan and the deal gets voided while not being any different. |

I would say him having a B- rebounding would be pretty far fetched. I mean sure if he has a bunch of perfect TC's he could become that, you could make that case for like anyone. Wagner is nothing but a large expiring.

all in all i think most of us can agree that the granger to pistons and johnson to hawks deals were both pretty bad.
the grizzlies took a gamble on holiday and hill
and the suns took a mega gamble on kemba
kemba iMO will need 7.5 k invested in him to be half the star jj is
like someone said earlier in this discussion sometimes if you dont get the deal you want you got to either hold onto your guy and wait for something or just go team by team and send out offers to ppl who are too lazy to send offers themselves

I like this move for Seattle alot. Monta is basically what John Wall could become and you get Kobe on top just for giggles, very nice move by the Sonics.
Edit: reading some of the comments up top makes me laugh, it wasn't really that bad of a deal for both teams after all.
