Jeb, if Hodges ever really played, maybe.
Hinrich has the most 3's in team history. Ben Gordon at his peak is by far the best pure shooter I've ever seen in a Bulls uni.
Korver has really turned it on, he was pretty horrible for first couple months of the season.

Goodbye Lakers, nice to see that in the closing game of the series that:
1) You didn't bother showing up, at all; 2) You let the opposing bench score roughly the same amount of points as your entire team; and 3) You showed a great deal of class by having two players kicked out for cheap shots in this game (and one in a different game earlier).
As an anti-Laker fan (who has suffered as a Blazers fan) I hope this team falls apart and struggles for a while. But then again, all these talking heads on television talk about how they are going to trade for Dwight Howard so who really knows...

Bynums cheat shot was embarrassing. Then he sheds his jersey on the way out. That's definitely not needed.

I've never really hated the Lakers or anything. Sad to see Phil go out like that but I gotta admit, I had a bit of a smile on my face watching them lose. Bottom line, that team's just too fucking old. They got totally outclassed, kind of reminded me of when the Pistons beat LA in '04. Every facet of their game, they looked a step behind.
I wonder what dnom would say now to the MJ/Kobe argument (as if there ever was one of substance). For those who didn't know him, huge boner for all things Lakers and claimed that once Kobe wins title #6 he's as good as MJ ever was and once he wins #7 he's far and away the greatest player ever.

I think what people fail to realize is that MJ/Kobe probably wouldn't be half of what they were without Phil, success wise. They'd both be the same talent, but not the same winners.

Oh come on Joel, those Bulls teams were right on the verge when they pushed Collins out and promoted Phil. I'm not saying Phil wasn't part of the success, just don't give him THAT much credit, hehe.

Maybe I'm wrong but at this point in time I don't think Kobe will ever get ring number six, but we'll see...

Even though Kobe is only 32 years old, the mileage on his leg, make him look like the Jordan we saw with the Wizards. It's truely sad to see, perhaps, the end of the Kobe Bryant era. In terms of winning, accomplishments, etc etc he will never touch michael. But offensively he may be better than Michael Jordan. He never was the leaper Jordan was he never had those huge hands Jordan had but this kid was an offensive machine. From 81 points, to 63 points in 3 quarters against the number one defense, to his 5 or 6 straight 50 points, all the way to his game winners last year. It was a pleasure watching him play. People won't really appreciate him until he retires and is gone from this game. 5 rings in 7 appearence, over 30 thousand points and countless other accomplishments. He's tied with Magic IMO as the best Laker ever and being the second best SG in the NBA history is nothing to frown upon.

Maybe I'm wrong but at this point in time I don't think Kobe will ever get ring number six, but we'll see... after this recent knee surgury he just had, he's no longer the player that he was. I highly doubt he wins another but never underestimate the heart of a champion.

Good post amanuel, I agree with everything you mentioned. To be honest though, if Phil is gone, Kobe is right next to him. He has too much dignity to go through another 2004 season. He wants to go on top, and winning 2 of the last 3 rings is on top if you ask me.

^ lol y the hate? i feel that way about kobe for some reason dunno y that grizz thunder game was bonkers. i was rooting for the grizz because their town is flooding or something miami/chicago is going to be a great series. noah, booz, gibson and asik ought to be advtageous for them downlow.. and i think deng will do decent against lebron. but IMO miami will win it in 7 and go on to win the championship.
