Pending on where you read, Deron was the reason that Utah ousted Sloan.

Man's a legend no matter which way you look at. Great coach, great player.
My issue is why oust such a good coach? You have Deron Williams, Paul Millsap and a few younger guys like Gordon Hayward. So why not trade the problem? Which i am convince is Al Jefferson. He may always be a great FBB player but in real life I feel like hes more of a plague. Teams think hes this great big man, yet he cant coexist with anyone. Kevin Love, Paul Millsap, its the same shit different day. Maybe Jefferson suffers from an inferiority (SP?) complex where he cant play with anyone who is equal or better than him. They have to be worse otherwise he feels undermined.
Sloan will get hired quickly I think. Larry Bird and Michael Jordan will both take note that hes available while they still have interim coaches, even if they are both doing really well. Or maybe he gets hired on as a GM somewhere.
Michael Jordan Jerry Sloan Paul Silas
Now that is a management team that could put together a sick team in the long run.

It will be interesting to see if they rename the coach of the year award to the Jerry Sloan award.

DeMar DeRozan is budding. BIGTIME. But I can't think of ANY player that he reminds me of! Wicked mid-range jumper, no 3 point shot, drives to the hoop with tenacity, great ball handler, bad passer... Awesome defense for a sophomore.. After watching him live in the UK friday night im a big fan now. His jumpshot is alot better than I realised, was only against the Nets but he scored 30 points effortlessly.

He's just a fun player to watch because of his energy. He's not an in game dunker for the most part, but he gets to the hole in such a variety of ways.

I really feel like it depends on the game for Demar, some games he comes out flying and have a great game. Others he is tentative and puts up decent numbers, but nothing spectacular. In a years time with some consistency, he is going to be one of the better sg's in the league

It's not even that Amar'e and Melo need to learn to play defense, they just need to stop being LAZY...gosh, the Knicks are so bad defensively. I don't think any combination of players the Knicks organization surrounds around Stat-N-Melo are going to magically teach them how to play enough defense to ever win a championship.

Lol in watching the highlights, it was a pathetic triple-double in terms of getting his points. Only thing he can do is dunk

He's skyrocketed up the draft charts in the past few weeks. If he could develop some offense he could be a scary player in the future.

When the Manu for MVP choice is the coherent of the predictions, something ain't right. Put Jack in a home, now.

damn, three game 1 upsets already. I'm hoping for one more with the Nugs over the Thunder, and then hopefully Boston takes care of home court advantage tonight against the Knicks.
But does anyone really think the Grizzlies, Hornets, or Hawks have a legitimate chance of beating the Spurs, Lakers, and Magic?

i think one of those 3 will.. i also think the thunder will take care of things a little easer than people are giving them credit for.

Lakers and Spurs will adjust and probably win in 5 or 6.

I don't see LA losing to New Orleans. By any means. Maybe another first round scare like last season with OKC, but 5 or 6 is most likely.
Grizz and Hawks however, I think can both make upsets. I can't believe I'm saying this but....Zach Randolph has evolved into a leader?
