I agree with MP. I think the team you got after this deal is a borderline #8 out West, tops. Really wow.

Sorry man. I just don't see how you get it going. You don't have a go-to guy offensively, Sheed and Nash could very well drop in TC. Tons of question marks.

I think that if the Celtics resign Shaq the entire league are fools for making a trade to go all in. Its really hard to even get to them and you still got to go through the West. I mean I personally would have continued with Livingston, but I also never thought that the Rockets would win the West either so who knows....

Wouldn't say cap room is overrated. Think of it as an expiring. It's also nice when you're dealing with the teams that go over the hard cap. As long as you have your picks and a couple solid young guys, cap room is excellent.

Hate to "pick on the new guy", but that Pietrus/Butler deal is pretty bad for Atlanta. Honestly, I'd want Pietrus over Butler head-to-head. Mediocre player with severely inflated numbers due to his bottom of the barrel team with a huge contract for a guy of his talents. The Pietrus/Butler deal isnt really that bad when you look at it. Butler might have scored by being on a bad team but look at his shooting percentage, its not like the guy was scoring with a low clip. He was shooting 45% from field and 42% from three point land. And if you look at his career he has shot 40%+ all his season from downtown beside his rookie year. His contract compared to player like Stephen Jackson is reasonable IMO. But we can agree to disagree.

Like I posted on the thread.
I don't care that he is expiring I need him because he would be my starting SG on paper.

If he's your starting SG, all-in shouldn't be discussed, ever. He's beyond IR fodder man. Swingmen with C inside are atrocious

I don't know who's crazier - him, asking for 1600, or me paying 1600.. Equally insane

I don't know who's crazier - him, asking for 1600, or me paying 1600.. Equally insane ;D I was price gouged! His reasoning for asking for that much was "come on, you have the cash" I'm being targeted

Almost a camp's worth of cash for two guys that'll probably never play? Yeah, I'd say you were gouged. The reasoning just makes it funny, hehe.

Well, my reasoning is simple: if I didn't have kidd, I wouldn't be so liberal moving this cash. Considering he got me 11,000 cash (roughly last season, I'd rather get two guys I'll have for 3 years than two 30 somethings I'd only be able to sign for a max of two years, and not be able to send to the D-league.
It still is crazy though, I must agree.

Yeah I got no problem when people over pay for picks considering they have money to use. For people who write articles during this time it's easy to overpay. All the money that I moved for picks will be earned back by articles and two sims from Joe Johnson really.
However if your team that don't earn money and don't write articles, then it is foolish.

If you have a problem with someones deal, you request the council. That's all.

Yup, I don't see the logic in that at all. A guy who has never played, and we've yet to see him play, and another guy who's value is higher then it should be because of his NBA name.

Don't like the fact that a first went with Shaun. Otherwise, maybe Beno could be great. Steve Nash's early days with the Spurs.
