Aired today, live, updated and late-breaking:
New Jersey sends: Troy Murphy Devin Harris Derrick Favors Ben Uzoh FOUR 1st Round draft picks
Denver sends: Carmelo Anthony Chauncey Billups Shelden Williams Melvin Ely Renaldo Balkman
Again, this is the latest offer and HAS been agreed upon by the two teams - one stipulation: Anthony agrees to an extension.
So now, once again, it's all up to Anthony to sign the extension and have this aaaaall over with.

tbh, New Jersey is getting raped. What the hell do they have, that Denver doesn't? Nothing! At least New York already has Amar'e..
They're giving up way too much...

I mean Troy Murphy, Harris, Favors and a pick or 2 is a very nice package for Billups and Anthony, but to give up that, plus FOUR FIRST ROUNDERS for Anthony and an aging Billups is ridiculous.. That starting lineup is going to be even worse than Denvers right now: Billips, Morrow, Anthony, Shelden Williams??, Lopez
Idk what the hell NJ is thinking, other than hopefully luring Paul into the mix next summer...

I've watched favors 4-5 times and he has yet to impress me in any way. The picks are the only thing of value IMO. Also dies anybody think that melo being coached by Avery Johnson is a terrible fit?

Definitely. Lazy-ish spoiled "superstar" and hard nosed take no shit head coach doesn't seem like a good fit. One will crack, there will be no permeation.

Yea. If Denver can get this they take it an run away laughing and when melo gives up after Johnson yells at him they enjoy many lottos thanks to jersey

If this trade goes down I would highly recommend Avery Johnson find another job fast (especially since the Nets owner has said that he expects to win a title within five years).

Both teams are fucking stupid. Carmelo doesn't play a lick of defense.

I mean I get why the knicks want to do this I also think it doesn't make that much sense. I don't think anything they are giving up is earth shattering but they also won't really have much of a team. OF course if you are just a fringe playoff team I guess it doesn't matter either way

OF course if you are just a fringe playoff team I guess it doesn't matter either way Everyone said the same thing about the Heat. They're surrounded by nothing, but they are the best team in the league(arguably). It's a star driven league right now. I'll take Melo and Amare and Chauncey any day of the week with Justin Bieber at PG and John Amaechi(with a dildo) at center.

If you go by what people say they won't need Bieber at point guard if they find some way to get Chris Paul when he becomes a free agent.

I don't get how Knicks fans are just calling for the writers to shut the fuck up period at this point. I know I would. From LeBron to Melo to Paul and now onto Deron Williams, just shut the fuck up and actually report something and not just some speculative garbage you heard from someone that served Dolan's assistant an orange julius 6 weeks ago.

Brian, twitter is the worst thing that has happened to trade news/rumors in professional sports. Everyone wants to be the "first" to break the news so they just throw shit at the wall and hope something sticks. But yes, as a Knick fan, I will be happy when this is over, whether we get him or not. I just want us to get used to a team instead of worrying about this bullshit for years.

I think Knicks should hold on to Felton, and wait till off-season. Felton's like Chauncey all over again.

But yes, as a Knick fan, I will be happy when this is over, whether we get him or not. It will never be over Yeah, that was kinda my point. Whether you get Melo or not, you'll be going on to Chris Paul and when Chris Paul makes his decision on New York then you go onto Deron Williams. I'd assume if the Bulls weren't playing the way they were those assclowns would be talking about Derrick Rose going to New York. To use an analogy on the current state of sports journalism, it's similar to what happened to me in my profession (photography). It got to a point where the technology got so cheap that any moron could buy the same equipment I used and THINK (not do) they could do the same or better than the service I offered. That's journalism now. Any jagoff can open up a wordpress account and think they're Woodward and fucking Bernstein.
