I think its something like Billups - Landry Fields(shocked that he's not the one denver demanded rather than the big Russian kid) the Melo STAT and Ronny T
with nothing on the bench...

Just saw it, looks like Denver also got New York's 2014 1st round pick (something like that) and a couple second rounders as well.

The Knicks got some bench/role players in Douglas, Balkman, Williams. They need to make another deal to land a bigman off the bench or sign a bum off the street that can just take space. And just think 1 year from now we will be right back in this discussion with either Williams or Paul.

yay the talking is all over...
Hawks need to go after Devin Harris, would be a perfect fit and NJ want to move him before the deadline. Can't see the Hawks getting something done though.

The demise of the Knicks bench is greatly exaggerated. We still have two of our three cogs off the bench in Williams and Douglas. I'm sure Brewer/Walker/Williams will be a decent patch job.

yeah, i'm reading alot of my friends' statuses/tweets on my newsfeed, and it's all about whining about "we gave up too much"
okay, well, would you have rather been the team that LETthe Nets (or some other team?) get Carmelo Anthony, because you were too nervous about letting Mozgov or Gallinari go? the eff?
Love the move obviously because Amar'e is a #2 guy, and now he can be that.

just doing some research....summer of 2012, Knicks will have 3 players under contract: Amar'e (19.9M) and Carmelo (19.5) and Balkman (1.7) so that's 41.1 and they're banking on the Salary Cap to remain where it is around 58 Mil)....that's basically one max FA and a whole lot of roster spots to fill...basically, a step-up from what Pat Riley did this year. Impressive.

thats assuming they renounce the rights to Landry Fields and any other restricted free agent and that the cap doesn't go down in the cba talks

it probably will. and re-nouncing Fields is just another bullet they haven't yet realized they'll have to bite.
