Gilbert Arenas SG 6'3 188 19 B- B- B- B- C- A
Arizona soph.
Has a variety of penetration moves like stutter steps, crossovers, and change of directions moves to get in the lane. Loves to create offense for himself especially when playing in one-on-one situations but falls into the 'ball hog' category at times. Decent 3pt shot. Defensively he has quick hands and plays the passing lanes well for easy pick. For his age he owns pretty good shot selection something that will be very valuable at the next level. Creates well in traffic and can finish with some flair like floaters and reverses. He's an average rebounder for his size Above-average shooter off the dribble...can shake and shoot with the best of them. Has troubles defending taller players at SG--this will cause him to be a liability on defense... Turnovers are a problem for Arenas often because he tries to do too much with ball. Tends to shoot erratic from the 3-point line although this has more to do with his mechanics so this is fixable. Mid-range game inconsistent at times. Should work on improving his ball handling if he wants to be a PG in the pros.

Joe Johnson SG 6'7 225 20 C+ B C+ B- C A
Arkansas Soph.
Has excellent size to play the SG or SF positions. Can really extend the defense because of the fact that he is a consistent 3-point threat. Has a smooth first step that he uses to get past defenders and penetrate to the lane. Has the ability to shoot off the dribble something that most kids need time to develop. Plays very poised and under control doesn't really let his emotions get carried away in a game. Wonderful all-around game does a little bit of everything. Fast hands and is very good at playing the passing lanes for easy steals. Has very good ball-handling skills for a player of his size could even play some PG if need be.... Plays with quiet confidence in himself and has shown some ability to be a leader. Can create his offense off the dribble either on the pull up or using his court vision to pass to an open teammate. Though he has shown leadership abilities, he doesn't have that killer type attitude must strive to maintain his aggressiveness in a game. Doesn't have that much upper body strength. Still doesn't know the ins and outs of a game must continue to hone his fundamentals. Inconsistent scoring nights, one night he can drop 27 points the next night he'll drop 5 points. Needs to work on toughness and protecting the ball better as he had to many turnovers. Decent all around combo guard though.

Jason Richardson SG 6'6 220 20 B C+ C C+ C A
Michigan State Soph.
A high-flyer who excels in the open court where his excellent transition game takes control. Has tremendous leaping ability for dunks and rebounds. Has a quick first step that he utilizes to get pass most defenders. Definitely a slasher whose points come by either dunks or tip-ins. Moves well without the ball and is threat for an alley-oop at any time. Not a great shooter, but has become a much better set up shooter from mid-range. Passes well would often slash through the lane and pass to open teammates. Has a good work ethic and has worked hard on his outside shot. 3pt shot has improved since his freshman year, but still inconsistent from deep. Still learning how to become a better defender because he gambles too much on steals. Needs to continue to work on the fundamentals of the game and gain a understanding on how to play the game mentally.

Juan Dixon SG 6'3" 164 22 C+ B C+ B- D+ B
Maryland Jr.
Multi-talented guard capable of playing both positions. Good jumper shot and solid all-around skills. Not a true PG, not a formidable SG. His work ethic needs improvement, otherwise he'd be a top player. He's the little guy with the big heart...more importantly, big game. Dixon brings toughness and competitiveness. Has a fluent pull-up jumper. Can hit big shots better than just about anyone in on the board. Averaging a cool 18 PPG on 41%FG and 87% FT. Also a savy defender with 2.6 SPG for the Terps. His knock would be his size...definitely too small/not strong enough to play with the bigger SGs, and since he's not a natural PG, he'll need to develop some serious ball handling skills, although he has shown he can run point when Blake wasn't on the floor. He's a loyal guy so he is 50-50 about coming back to Maryland for his senior year. Definitely would benefit from getting stronger.

DeShawn Stevenson SG 6'6 210 20 C+ C+ C B- C- B
Kansas Fr.
After some SAT controversy prior to this season, DSS arrived at Kansas but didn't really show that his game has improved or declined as a bench player for the Jayhawks. However, he has good size at 6-6 and he doesn’t need to bulk up much (210 pounds). He's a solid defender and has a solid offensive game, just not that special. Jumpshot mechanics can be worked on. Not a threat from deep, but has shown to hit the occasional 3pt goal. He was a highly coveted guard out of HS, and scouts are unsure of his upside after one year of bench play at the collegiate level.

Charlie Bell SG 6'3" 200 22 C+ B C+ B- C B
Michigan State Sr.
A teammate of J-Rich, Bell is a versatile combo guard and that should make him appealing to the Pros. He can shoot when the need arises or set up his teammates, and he plays pretty good defense. Most important, he's a winner. His "tweener" size raises the question of whether he would play point or shooting guard. He shot good percentages from the 3pt line and FT line (38% and 80% respectively) in his senior year. Can get to the hole and draw fouls, but his attribute would be his versatility and shooting ability.

Maurice Evans SG 6'5" 220 23 C+ B- C- B- C B
Texas Jr.
Evans has a pro's body and knows how to slash to the basket for points. He shot 39 percent from 3-point range as a junior, but could get better there. Also needs work on his ball handling. After sitting one season due to transfer NCAA transfer rules, he suited up for the Longhorns and averaged just about the same numbers as he was getting two years prior at Wichita St. He shot the ball fairly well from three and grabbed a rebounds as a wing player. Pretty good athlete. Defense is solid, not great. He's not very quick but his size and strength for a wing make up for it.

Joseph Forte SG 6'4 192 20 C B+ C B- C- B
North Carolina Soph.
Has a really fluid mid-range shot. Loves to create off the dribble can freeze his defender by faking the 3-pointer then blow by them for the 15-20 footer. Good rebounder for his size--has good leaping ability. Hits an occasional three. Has a deceptive little right-to-left crossover to get in the lane. Has quick hands on defense leading to steals. Also a solid passer. Definitely a clutch player wants the ball in his hands. Although he is a proficient all-around college player, many scouts wonder about his size if he be able to play SG in the Pros. Though he has a good mid-range game, he has a tendency to throw up ill-advised shots. Can rush himself offensively and get careless with the ball . Ball handling needs to be worked if he wants to play PG, but he's not really a PG. Needs to get stronger even though he has gotten stronger from his freshman year.

Fred Jones SG 6'4" 22 210 B C+ C B- C B
Oregon Jr.
Jones is strong, and with a quick first step has the ability to power his way to the basket. His perimeter game is improving, but he still needs work on his ball-handling and passing skills. He's a combo wing, but more of a SG/SF than any a PG. Though he is short for the wing position, his strength makes up for it. Oh yeah, and he's also a really good dunker.

Jeff Trepagnier SG 6'4 200 22 B- C C B C C
USC Sr.
Very athletic player with a 40-inch vertical. Has a quick first step off the dribble and finishes with the best of them. Has developed a much better jump shot over 4 years at USC. Good rebounder for a SG. Quick hands on defense and averaged over 3.0 SPG last year, and plays the passing lanes well. Moves fairly well without the ball and has started to become a better shooter off of down-screens. Can hit the spot up 3-point shot although by no means is he Steve Kerr. Needs to be continue to become more consistent from the perimeter with the 3-point shot. Needs to work on his ball handling and is turnover prone if he over-dribbles. Short for a SG but his athleticism makes up for it. Not a great shooter off the dribble from the perimeter. Should stop settling for jumpers when his shot is off. Seemed to have dropped off in his senior year in every stat category than his junior year mostly due to outside distractions. Not a great FT shooter, which he should work on since he is more of a slasher.

Maurice Jeffers 6'4 193 22 C C+ C+ C D+ D
St. Louis Sr.
Undersized to play SG, not skilled enough with the ball to play PG. He's pretty quick and can shoot off the dribble, but he needs allot of work. Played for St. Louis where he averaged 16 PPG and shot an outstanding 44% from 3pt. But his all around game (defense, intangibles, boxing out) is a work-in-progress. A 2nd-round selection is a pipedream for Jeffers, and he is already considering playing overseas.

Horace Jenkins SG 6'1" 180 27 B C C C C C
William Patterson Sr.
Jenkins has unbelievable quickness and jumping ability: a 44-inch vertical to boast. He won the slam dunk contest at the Final Four, beating several high-profile Division I players. Super athletic, but his lack of an all-around game and his age as a draftee will scare off too many teams to draft him even in the 2nd round. Still, the work ethic is there and he could make an SSBL squad one day.
