Bobby Sura: was the main defection. He was a spark plug off the bench backing up both guard positions. He was rated as a high loyalty guy and the Clippers hoped to bring him back. He spurned the Clippers for an offer of the same amount of cash from another team.
Big Country: He was not high on the Clippers want list, but a plan C when A and B tier players signed elsewhere. He scored 16 points per game last season and will get serious playing time either starting or backing up both big positions.
Kerry Kittles: The Clippers looked quickly for a replacement for Sura as soon as he left. Kittles was towards the top of the list for mid-level players. He is seen as a capable scorer and a nice backup for Nesby
Workman: He is seen as a workable backup for Miller although the team may look for an upgrade. He plays solid D and handles the ball adequately which is what the Clippers were looking for in a backup although better defense would have been prefered.
Henderson: He is seen as insurance and a scorer. He probably will not get a lot of playing time unless there are injuries.
Depth Chart although this is currently in flux:
Center: Candyman, Big Country, Cross, James
PF: Wright, Big Country
SF: Williamson, Rodgers, Kittles, Henderson
SG: Nesby, Kittles
PG: Miller, Workman, Hudson, Perry
Strength this team has a nice fontline with a lot of depth. One or two of the centers will probably be moved for more depth at the guard position. Weakness. Miller does not play defense well for the style of game this team plays. This team was awful from the freethrow last season and its big men have difficulties finding the handle on the ball. Finally, this team has scoring depth but lacks a go to man to take over in games.
