1: GMs are always required to post an explanation for accepting a trade. We will not process a trade unless it has an explanation or reasoning.
2: You cannot trade, then cut a player, and have another GM re-sign the player.
3: If you're not making the deal, you're not posting in the trade thread. That kinda stuff will get you thrown out.
other rules:
4: A traded player that was cut by his new team cannot be re-signed by the previous team that he played for until after 10 sim days (1 sim) has passed. Otherwise, he's fair game to the other 27 GMs to sign as a FA
5: Trading future picks is only allowed up to 5 years after the current trading year. For instance, if we are in the 2005 season, you can only trade a future pick as far as 2010.
6. NO EDITING POSTS - if part of the trade was amended, make another post. Trades with edited posts will be void.
7. No two teams may trade with one another until 10 sim days (1 sim) has passed. If the trade doesn't work without being split into two trades, tough. (Only exception is if more picks than players is involved).
TRADE COMMITTEE
If a trade seems heavily one-sided by any GM(s) in this league, PM the commisioners to request to have the trade sent to the Trade Committee. The members of the trade council will then vote on whether or not the trade should be passed or void, entirely un-biassed or otherwise a biassed GM will refrain from voting (e.g. that committee member was part of a debated trade). There are 5 members of the trade committee with 2 backup members.
