1999 Draft
Ryan Robertson - 27th Pick in 2nd Round
Released just after the draft, was never seen again in the SSBL. Believed to of had an ok career playing overseas.
2000 Draft
Brian Cardinal PF 6'8'' 238 23 C+ C+ D+ C+ C+ C - 27th Pick in 2nd Round
Again no first round pick for me, my only pick in the draft was at the end of the second round. Brian Cardinal saw off his two year rookie contract but wasn't seen again in the SSBL.
2001 Draft
Andre Hutson PF 6'8'' 241 22 C+ D D+ B- C D - 26th Pick in 2nd Round
Much like Ryan Roberston was released shortly after being drafted. An uneventful first three drafts.
2002 Draft
Curtis Borchardt C 7'0'' 245 22 C+ C C- B B+ C - 19th Pick in the 1st Round
Ousmane Cisse PF 20 6'8'' 252 C+ D+ C- B- C+ B 20th in the 2nd round.
2002 was the first time the I drafted in the first round. The pick was 7'0 big man Curtis Borchardt with the 19 pick in the first round. Curtis had an ok career spending four years with the Kings and then half a season with the Warriors.
Ousmane Cisse spent two seasons with the Kings, then a year with the Bulls and a year with the Pacers.
2003 Draft - YEAR OUT of SSBL
2004 Draft
David Harrison C 7'0'' 255 22 C+ D+ D+ B- B B - 26th pick in 1st round
Royal Ivey PG 6'3'' 204 23 C+ C B B- C- C - 26th pick in 2nd round
----------
2013 Ratings
David Harrison* PF 31 7'0'' 255 C D+ D- A- B+ D
David Harrison was drafted with the 26th pick in the first round, probably the best pick I made upto this date. He had a solid career playing 3 and a half years with the Kings before being traded to the Raptors. The following year he was traded to the Bobcats where he started last season averaging 11.5RPG and 2BPG. Royal Ivey was traded in his first season to the Pacers alonside Al Harrington for Mike Bibby and Tayshaun Prince. Royal Ivey himself didn't really make his make in the league in his 3 years.
2005 Draft
Nate Robinson SG 5'9'' 180 21 B- C+ C+ B- D+ B - 15th pick in 1st round
Yaroslav Korolev SF 6'9'' 203 18 B- C+ B- C+ C A - 20th pick in 1st round
Will Bynum PG 6'0'' 185 22 C+ C+ B- B C- C - 16th pick in 2nd round

2013 Ratings
Nate Robinson PG 5'9'' 180 29 C+ B C+ B+ D+ C
Yaroslav Korolev** SF 6'9'' 203 26 B- B C+ B C+ C
Will Bynum* PG 6'0'' 185 30 B- B B A- C- C
Probably one of my most successful drafts. Nate Robinson had a very successful rookie season averaging 17PPG for the Kings, after that though kinda dropped off but has been a solid bench player in the league. In the only other season he started, 2010 with the Clippers he averaged 15PPG but after his hot start maybe a story of what could of been. Yaroslav Korolev who was picked with the 20th pick has had a successful SSBL career, having starting the last five seasons, averaging 13PPG, 6RPG in his career and in 2010 was voted in the All-Defensive Second Team, still only 26 years of age aswell. Lastly was one of the steals of the draft in Will Bynum who was picked with the 16th pick in the 2nd round. Bynum spent 7 years with the Kings as a combo guard starting and coming off the bench in those years. A very solid SSBL player who is currently a free agent will interested a fair few teams this offseason.
2006 Draft
Brandon Roy SG 6'6'' 210 22 B B B- B- C B - 4th pick in 1st round
Mouhammed Saer Sene C 7'0'' 240 20 C D+ F+ B C+ B - 1st pick in 2nd round
----------
2013 Ratings
Brandon Roy SG 29 6'6'' 210 A- A- B B C C
Mouhammed Saer Sene** C 27 7'0'' 240 C+ D+ F+ B+ B C
This draft will have to be the most important to the Kings franchise and my best draft. Both players are still with the Kings having spent 7 years with the team. Brandon Roy is the highest drafted player in Kings history at pick #4 and he hasn't disappointed. Roy is a five time all star and had a breakout season last year averaging 28PPG, 6.7RPG and 4.7APG while being in the All League First Team. Roy has career averages of 20PPG/6.5RPG/6.4APG. Mouhammed Saer Sene has been a big part of the teams recent success also, doing his work on the defensive end mainly on the blocking front. Averaging 7.4RPG and 2.5BPG in his SSBL career.
2007 Draft
Spencer Hawes C 7'1'' 244 19 C+ C C- B- B- A - 8th pick in 1st round
Brad Newley SG 6'7'' 201 22 B- B- C C+ C- B - 8th pick in 2nd round
----------
2013 Ratings
Spencer Hawes C 25 7'1'' 244 B- C C- A- B C
Brad Newley** SF 28 6'7'' 201 B- A- C B+ C C
Another good draft here, Spencer although has panned out as hoped still has had a very solid SSBL career. He was traded to the Knicks in his first year in a deal that bought Tracy McGrady to the Kings. He has averaged over 10RPG three times in his career. Brad Newley is another second round success story probably my best pick to date. The Australian has spent all of his career at the Kings and is a big part of the team weather starting or coming off the bench.
2008 Draft
Stephen Curry PG 6'3'' 185 20 C A- C+ C+ D A - 5th pick in 1st round (Spurs Pick)
Patrick Ewing Jr. SF 6'9'' 238 24 C+ D+ D+ B- C+ C - 22nd pick in 2nd round
----------
2013 Ratings
Stephen Curry PG 25 6'3'' 185 B- A B B D C
Stephen Curry was the 2nd highest pick made by me, but this time it was with the Spurs draft pick we got in a previous trade. Curry has had a great career to date currently playing for the New York Knicks after he was traded for Amare Stoudemire. Curry is the franchise player for the Knicks, averaging 24.5PPG and 7APG last season. Patrick Ewing Jr didn't last long.
2009 Draft
Marcus Thornton SG 6'4'' 198 22 B- B C C C- B - 17th pick in 1st round
Sergey Gladyr (Overseas) SG 6'5'' 190 20 C+ C+ C+ C D B - 18th pick in 2nd round

2013 Ratings
Marcus Thornton* SG 26 6'4'' 198 B- B+ C C+ C B
Not a great draft here, Sergey is still overseas and while Marcus has had a solid career hasn't really shone anywhere just yet.
2010 Draft
Ekpe Udoh PF 6'10'' 240 23 C+ D+ C- B B- B - 15th pick in the 1st round
Dexter Pittman C 6'10'' 310 22 B D D- C+ C C- 14th pick in the 2nd round
Ryan Richards PF 6'10'' 225 19 C D+ D+ B- C+ B- 19th pick in the 2nd round
----------
2013 Ratings
Ekpe Udoh** PF 26 6'10'' 240 B D+ D+ A- B A
Ekpe Udoh is a promising big man and a good pick at #15. Although he was moved for Ty Lawson early in his SSBL career he has made a name for himself. Currently playing for the Grizzlies he is one of the better young big men in the league. Not much to be said of Pittman and Richards.
2011 Draft
Travis Leslie SG 6'4'' 202 21 B C C C+ C+ A - 20th pick in the 1st round
Justin Harper PF 6'10'' 225 22 C+ B- D+ B- C+ C - 20th pick in the 2nd round

Travis Leslie* SG 23 6'4'' 202 B C+ C B C+ A
Travis Leslie has shown some promise in the league and some believe he will be a solid player very soon. Currently playing for the Memphis Grizzlies. Not much to be said of Justin Harper.
2012 Draft
Fab Melo C 7'0'' 255 22 C+ C- D B B- A - 15th pick in the 1st round
JaMychal Green PF 6'8'' 225 22 B- C- D+ B- B- C - 17th pick in the 2nd round

Fabricio De Melo* C 23 7'0'' 255 C+ C- D B- B- B
JaMychal Green PF 23 6'8'' 225 B C- C- B- C+ B
Maybe a bit too early to write Fab Melo off but many have. Spent last season in the development league this offseason will have to be a good one for him to make it. JaMychal Green got some playing time last season and showed some good things for a 2nd rounder, could have a future in the league.
2013 Draft
P.J. Hairston SG 20 6'5'' 220 C B+ C- B C B - 25th Pick in the First Round.
P.J. Hairston was a top 3pt shooter in the nation last season. He has a good body, great size, long arms, and a smooth stroke. It is yet to been seen what he can go in SSBL and might spend some time in the development league but the I hope he can be a solid player down the line.
Ryan Robertson - 27th Pick in 2nd Round
Released just after the draft, was never seen again in the SSBL. Believed to of had an ok career playing overseas.
