Wow, I actually thought I was facing a contract year this year. Forgot you got four seasons to suck and then face CY. This is my fourth, wow that's a huge sigh of relief.

I have been trying to trade for guy that would lead this team but never could get anything close. I thought that Arenas would be my answer, but he has continued getting worse. Every year I was told my picks were of no value cause I was a good playoff team. I burned up the PMs, but never could land that guy. I did change the lineup some, but its hard when you go 6-3 one week, and 1 - 5 the next. Got off to a good start, just fell apart. I felt I had a playoff team for several years now, but I guess it just wasn't meant to be.

Damn, Cavs actually almost made it. My team and Blazers won the deciding games unfortunately...

Most likely he will be back and IB4 I think as a community we should have an open discussion about this contract year thing. It's a great idea, but you can only do this if there a bunch of other GM's ready to step in and take over. I think someone alreay said this a long time ago but if I got kicked out for a contract year I wouldn't come back to GM another team. Sometimes people do get fucked and are stuck in a situation. And we should do a case by case thing for contract year. Have the trade committie become the contract committee too. Make them vote and let everyone judge a GM case by case. If he sucks and hasn't done anything then kick his ass out, but if the GM is trying and his team is games away from making the playoff give him a one year contract extension. Just my 2 cents....

Honestly sometimes they just need a clean slate and afresh start cause what they tried didnt work.
