The New York Knicks franchise have only been to the playoffs one time in this sim's history. They are tied with the Warriors in terms of playoff wins, both franchises only have one. The Warriors have made the playoffs twice, so hey at least the Knicks have something to look for.
The Lakers have the best winning percentage in this league. Having been to the playoffs 11 straight times before missing them last year. This is impressive considering Brian gave the team up to salvage the other miserable LA franchise. Next closest team is the Wolves who seem to always be winning though never winning it all despite the teams of the past.
The Grizzlies, Bucks and Hawks all have perfect final records. Both the Grizz and Bucks are 2-0 when they reach the finals, the Hawks are 1-0. The Celtics have won three finals, been there four times. The Suns, Wolves, Rockets, Pacers, Pistons, Bobcats and Magic have all made the finals though never winning one.
The Jazz are historically the worse team in this league sporting a 409 winning clip. Maybe its some sort of curse for moving Karl Malone, but this team has never been able to get over the hump that is losing. Close by are the Cavaliers and the Knicks, in a few season we could see a change.
The oldest standing player game record is free throws attempted by Tim Duncan with 27 in one game way back in 1998. The next oldest is Gary Payton's 12 steal effort back in 2001. The newest are points in a game, Dirk with 60 in 2008 and Luke Ridnour's astonishing 14 turnovers.
Looking back at the records it's safe to say that Tim Duncan has been the best player in this entire sim. He leads the league in rebounds, blocks and double doubles. He has accolades out of the ass, when you add them all up it is safe to say that he is the best.
Despite being one of the elite three point shooters and players in the league since entering the league Joe Johnson has never won a three point shootout. Every year he seems to choke it away, maybe this will be the year. The only repeat champion in this contest was Chauncey Billups.
Shawn Marion, Elton Brand, Joe Johnson, Yao Ming, LeBron James, Dwight Howard, Chris Paul, Monta Ellis, Kevin Durant, Blake Griffin, Russel Westbrook and John Wall. These have been the first round picks in this league, there is one big time eye sore in this group.
There have been two game sevens in the finals since the league started, the Heat victory over the Kings and the Bucks win over the Lakers. On the other hand, there have been four sweeps in the finals. Celtics have delivered two of them, Hawks and the Kings were the others.
Taking a look back at the journey that this league has had thus far, one has to wonder how much longer this league really does have. Either way things have been interesting.
