Fifteen years ago, the SSBL welcomed the leagues first international franchises - the Toronto Raptors and the Vancouver Grizzlies. Fifteen years later, only one will remain. The SSBL has announced new owner Joel's intention to move the franchise to Memphis, Tennessee as early as next week. Preparations have been made to lease an arena for next season, with plans to begin construction on "FedEx Forum" immediately. When asked why Memphis, Stephens answered simply "We need to keep our starting Center happy. Curry loves his BBQ and his pulled pork, and his baby back ribs. He needs his food." This will mark the 2nd consecutive season a franchise has moved, sparking questions about the leagues infrastructural integrity. Commissioner Ray Mysterio has stated this has nothing to do with the structure of the league and that some teams just want to move. Joel would like to thank the previous owner, Afro, for giving the fans in Vancouver some of the leagues best basketball to date, and wanted to ensure him he will try his hardest as not to tarnish the reputation of the storied franchise. TO MEMPHIS WE RIDE!
