1 Seattle Supersonics - John Wall PG 6'4'' 195 20 B C B- B- C- A
When the Sonics traded up one spot to select a player, a lot of fans expected it to be Tyreke Evans. They traded up to leap frog the Nuggets who could conceivably select the shooting guard, however premier talent always wins out. The Sonics selected John Wall in attempts to land this franchise a player that could lead them back into the promise land. A lot of fans were a little upset because they have Gibson and Brooks already, however at the end of the day there happy because Wall is an elite player. They will just have to wait a year or two to really see him make his impact.
2 Denver Nuggets - Derrick Favors PF 6'10'' 246 19 B- D D+ B- B- A
On paper when you look at a potential Griffin and Favors front court, that shit is scary. Both can jump out of the gym, both can be beast on the boards. and both throw down some sick power dunks. A lot of fans expected this team to go with a shooting guard, however the Nuggets GM saw the potential front court dominating for years and couldn't pass that up. They traded down one pick and landed the player they had rated as the number one prospect on their board. They picked up a bunch of cash, a late first round pick to let a team draft a position they didn't need. The fans are anticipating the Twin Towers in Denver for a long time, hopefully they don't pan out or else the league might be in trouble.
3 Toronto Raptors (from Magic) - Tyreke Evans SG 6'5'' 195 21 B C B- C+ C A
There was a lot of change to be processed this year for Raptors fans, the last thing they expected. Many fans weren't really sure where this team was heading because they seem to have talents at every position so they expected BPA. A few fans were expecting DeMarcus Cousins because they believe Gasol to be a Pu-Say [French Accent] However the Toronto GM selected combo guard Tyreke Evans to pair with Monta Ellis. Both players usually need the ball in their hands to be effective, however there will be no mistake about who will have the ball, Monta. Tyreke comes into a perfect situation since he doesn't have to be the man from day one and carry the team. On this squad he will be an after thought on offense and when you really think about what that means, that's just insane.
4 New Jersey Nets - Evan Turner SG 6'7'' 205 22 B- B- B- C+ C+ A
This has been the worst kept secret since the SSBL draft camps were underway. It was no secret that the Nets were targeting Evan at the fourth pick, some believed it to be smokescreens. However the Nets GM truly believed that Evan could be a impact player for the franchise and exactly the shot in the arm that it needed. When the Nets GM selected Evan most fans were pretty happy because they knew about him already so they had to carry themselves like gangstas saying What Up? Most fans are expecting Thabo to be brought back so expect Turner at the point this year unless they bring in a point guard.
5 Vancouver Grizzlies - DeMarcus Cousins PF 6'11'' 270 20 B- D+ D C+ B B
Meet Clarence, the last real Grizzlies fan on this planet. Clarence doesn't care about anything in life anymore expect his Grizzlies and Moonshine. Clarence loved this pick because Cousins is a big man and he had it up to here watching that panzie Curry prance around trying to grab a rebound. While the Grizz expect Cousins to become the man for this team, you have to wonder how good a Love Cousins will be on the boards. Clarence immediately became violent when he thought he insinuated that he loves cousins but we assured him that his front court will be called that. He took a swig of his moonshine and passed out leaving us speechless. Either way the Grizzlies landed a dynamic player with this fifth pick.
6 Los Angeles Clippers - Greg Monroe PF 6'11'' 240 20 B- C- C+ C+ C+ A
With this Clippers franchise they accustomed to adding a young talented player that never proceeds to do anything in their career. That is the case with the fans, they simply don't have any faith in their basketball team and carry out everyday like so. The Clippers don't have much talent on their roster so anyone that they add should be able to help. Greg Monroe is still a little raw but on this he will be able to gain valuable experience because they only have Leon Powe there. They expect to bring back Rajon Rondo and that should be their 1-2 punch for years to come. It's going to be interesting to see if they can land anything for Rubio because if they do bring back Rondo, it will probably be on a big contract.
7 Atlanta Hawks - Kemba Walker PG 6'1'' 180 20 C+ B+ C+ B- D+ B
The joy of finally being able to field a complete starting lineup is overwhelming right now for the Hawks fans, since they only have four players under contract. It really speaks volumes about a franchise when their seventh overall selection will come in and be the best player on the team. Kemba will probably win rookie of the year because of the situation that he landed himself in. Walker can flat out score the ball, he can create for teammates and cause turnovers on defense... and offense. The Hawks have a lot of work to do this offseason and this was a hell of a start.
8 Seattle Supersonics (from Heat) - Enes Kanter C 6'10'' 250 18 C+ D D- C+ B- A
After landing John Wall there really is no way to select a bad player at number eight. This time around most of the fans have warmed up to the idea of having Wall on this team and proceeded to act like so. With this selection the finally land a big time big man prospect for the franchise. Kanter is the definition of a project but his sky high potential shelf is really high, like super duper high. Kanter has a good feel for the basketball game and knows how to play the game. All he really needs is more playing time and experience, something he should be able to get a ton of for the Sonics this year. It's hard to think of a better draft for a team.
