Day 11: Mavericks 100 - Spurs 99[/b][/u]
Staying out on the road, the Spurs left Minnesota and traveled south for another divisional matchup against the Dallas Mavericks. While the Mavs jumped out to an early lead, the Spurs were able to rally but came up just short as the home team was able to edge out the one-point win. Leading the way for the Mavericks was their backcourt as Ron Artest went for a game high 27 points and point guard Jordan Farmar kept up his high level of play with 23 points, 8 assists, and 7 rebounds. In the loss, the Spurs had a balanced offensive attack with five players in double figures with Daequan Cook leading the way with his 23 points in 35 minutes of action.
Day 12: 76ers 103 - Spurs 94[/b][/u]
In order to salvage anything from their three game roadtrip, the Spurs would have to earn a win as they made their annual regular season trip to Philadelphia. After losing to the Sixers on day 3, San Antonio looked to get a bit of redemption on this evening. However, it was not meant to be as the home team jumped out to a quick 36-23 first quarter lead and never look back on their way to sweeping the season series. In defeat, the visiting team saw each member of the starting lineup in double figures with Marcus Williams leading the team in scoring (18 points), assists (14), and also added 6 rebounds and 5 steals. In their win, the Sixers got a big time game from Ray Allen with his game high 35 points on 15-26 shooting from the field.

After getting swept out on the road, the Spurs returned home hoping to pick up a much needed win as they welcomed the Dallas Mavericks to town. After a close loss on day 11, the Spurs were able to put together a solid second half to pick up a win to snap their recent losing streak with the hope of getting things back on track. In the loss, Dallas point guard Jordan Farmar led the charge with a double-double consisting of 21 points and 11 assists with four other players in double figures. In the win, the Spurs featured six players in double figures with Marcus Williams continuing his high level of play with 24 points and 16 assists on the evening.

After picking up a much needed win to snap their losing streak, the Spurs hit the road for a couple of games with the hopes of gaining some momentum. The first stop on the road trip was their annual trip to Orlando to face off against the rebuilding Orlando Magic. Things did not look good for the Spurs early on as they quickly found themselves down 25-7 at the end of the first but they were able to rally in the second half to get out of town with the victory. In the win, San Antonio was led by their backcourt with Vassilis Spanoulis leading the way with 26 points and Marcus Williams just missing out on a triple-double with 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists. In the loss, Orlando was led by Gerald Wallace with his 20 points in only 27 minutes of action.

With a pair of wins in a row, San Antonio hoped to get a winning streak going as they traveled back out west to face off against the Golden State Warriors. In a battle against a pair of teams in their contract year, the Spurs were able to earn the win with the key coming in the third quarter where they outscored their opponent by 20 points. In the loss, the Warriors had four players in double figures and were led by veteran by Jerry Stackhouse's 26 points. As for the Spurs, the team had six players in double figures with Marcus Williams going for a game high 32 points and 8 assists.
Day 18: Nuggets 115 - Spurs 78[/b][/u]
After picking up a pair of wins out on the road, the team returned back home to the Alamo City with hopes of extending their winning streak against a divisional opponent in the Denver Nuggets. Following a first quarter where the teams played to a tie, the game was all Denver after that as they outscored the Spurs by 37 points in the remaining three quarters. In the loss, the home team only had three players break double figure scoring with the backcourt combo of Marcus Williams and Vassilis Spanoulis combining for 42 of the team's 78 points. As for the Nuggets, they were on fire the entire game as they shot 53.9 percent from the field as a team and featured six players with at least 12 points with Antonio McDyess recording a game high 28 points in just 33 minutes of action.

Hoping to end a rough first month of the season on a positive note, the team headed off for their regular season trip to Detroit to take on the tough front line of the Pistons. Perhaps feeling a bit motivated for the game, the visiting Spurs came out and establish control of the game early on their way to picking up the win. Similar to other games during the season, it was the backcourt of San Antonio that led the charge was Marcus Williams and Vassilis Spanoulis combined for 40 points, 13 assists, 10 rebounds, and an impressive 8 steals on the night. As for the Pistons, they were led by their superstar point guard Leandro Barbosa as he went for a team high 21 points in the loss.
