Version 2.0 (after ratings were released)
1 - D.Rose, Memphis
PG 6'3'' 190 20 B- C B- B C- A
Previous: 1 (+0)
After a made basket, he can get up and down the floor in 3 seconds. The only thing he needs to work on is his jumpshot, which he can definitely improve.
2 - B.Griffin, Oklahoma
PF 6'10'' 251 19 B D+ D+ B- B A
Previous: 3 (+1)
Has a good post game. And be careful, because if you're battling him on the block, he could spin right around you and go for the allyoop if you're nudging him off the block too hard. And he will dunk on your face.
3 - OJ Mayo, USC
SG 6'5'' 195 21 B- B C C+ C- A
Previous: 2 (-1)
Griffin looks pretty pimpin' so I have Mayo dropping a slot. Even though, Mayo still looks pretty beast with B- B scoring. He looks slightly better than E.Gordon of Indiana.
4 - E.Gordon, Indiana
SG 6'3'' 215 20 B- B C C+ C- A
Previous: 9 (+5)
He looks like a pimp, but still considering going back to school. There are a few SG's that will be available next year, but the allure of being the top guy is something Gordon wouldn't mind. In a BPA mock, I now put him at #4, but don't be surprised if the PG's go ahead of him when it comes time to the actual draft, which could very well happen if someone is looking for a Curry or a Westbrook or a Jennings.
5 - B.Lopez, Stanford
Previous: 4 (-1)
C 7'0'' 260 20 B C- D- B- C A
I kind of expected a low rebounding rating, since his twin brother Robin did all the dirty work. Brook is a scoring big man, but not at all "raw" in any sense. He is still developing, but ALREADY has a good back-to-the-basket game, soft hands, and is also a solid FT shooter.
6 - D.Gallinari, Italy
SF 6'9'' 209 20 B- B D+ C+ C A
Previous: 7 (+1)
Basically the same scoring ratings as Mayo and Gordon, but is not as quick as the two guards. That's cuz he's a SF but lanky with the height of a PF. However, he's a better rebounder than the two and we all have seen how sucessful Foreigners have been in this league so far....dot dot dot....
7 - R.Westbrook, UCLA
PG 6'3'' 187 20 B- C C+ B+ C B
Previous: 6 (-1)
He dropped one spot but will definitely be a top pick because of his defense and versatility to play the 1 or 2.
8 - S.Curry, Davidson
PG 6'3'' 185 20 C A- C+ C+ D A
Previous: 10 (+2)
A pure shooter, and the A- reflects that. Mo-Will-esque? Scouts think he can be better.
9 - K.Love, UCLA
PF 6'9'' 255 20 C+ C C+ C A- A
Previous: 5 (-4)
To be fair, he won't fall this far...I think. People are disappointed with his scoring grades, but his rebounding sets him apart from the other prospects. He's also a big who can shoot (C outside for a big is pretty good), pass (C+ for a big is pretty good), but needs to play better D (C def for any one is not pretty good).
10 - B.Jennings, Oak Hill HS
PG 6'1'' 170 19 C+ B C+ C+ D A
Previous: 8 (-2)
The youngest prospect in the draft is heavily considering going to college or going overseas for a year, after seeing how kmat rated him.
11 - A.Randolph, LSU
SF 6'11'' 220 19 B- C- C- B- C A
Previous: 11 (+0)
Has the skill set to be a great player, but still very raw. He could either be the best steal of the draft...or the biggest bust. But definitely the biggest project.
12 - N.Batum, France
SF 6'8'' 214 20 C+ B- C B- C A
Previous: n/a
Athletic wing player who can also shoot. Scouts love his upside and is one of the top French players since Tony Parker.
13 - R.Hibbert, Georgetown
C 7'2'' 272 22 C+ C- C B B- B
Previous: n/a
Skilled scoring bigs like Thompson or Hickson might go ahead of him, but the dude is 7'2" and you can't teach height.
14 - C.Budinger, Arizona
SF 6'7'' 218 21 C+ B+ C- C C- A
Previous: 13 (-1)
A triple threat: can shoot, can drive hard to the rim, can finish off the break, off the alley-oop. Needs to work on his defense though.
15 - J.Thompson, Rider
PF 6'11'' 250 22 B D+ D+ C+ C+ B
Previous: 15 (+0)
Not sure how high he will go. All depends on the wildcard. I could name a few guys that fringe-playoff teams would pick at #15, but I have Thompson here. Skilled post player as he has shown playing for a small school. Hopefully it translates to the pros.
