Ray's Top 10 SSBL GM's from Yesteryear
10. justaddwatrr aka don aka just aka watrr
Notable SSBL team(s): v2 Suns, 1992 champs
My friend whom I meant at college and one of the first things we had in common was our knowledge for the game of basketball. Also played on several intramural bball teams even though, individually, we weren't very skilled (debatable). I introduced him into sim leagues and he even won a championship in sooner time that I did, but has since forgotten about sim leagues and has a busy lifestyle that isn't conducive to being active in a sim league.

9. Steveragain21 aka Steveragain120 aka neveragain
Notable SSBL team(s): v2 Rockets (Bynum, Dirk, VC)
My bro, who has never ever really been an "active" GM except the normal "same" for DC posting, but has great knowledge of what it takes to GM a team. He has since recently asked about getting back into this league, but that would mean I would have to fire someone here to get him a spot. And last time he was here, he went M.I.A. on a Kings team that was well over the HC.

8. ptownblazers aka ptown
Notable SSBL team(s): every Blazers team prior to v4
This dude seemed to always be the Blazers in every incarnation of SSBL until SSBL4 started up. He was a solid GM from what I remember. What happened to him? Seems like the only way he'd get into this league is if MP stepped down from the Blazers and ptown would swoop right in somehow.
---
7. dnom aka "the other ray" aka WilliamOfOrange
Notable SSBL team(s): v2 Nuggets (Melo, Rose, JO, etc)
Dnom was a staple GM in every SSBL but went MIA went SSBL4/Infinity/SSBLTomorrow opened up. What happened to him? Well, remember his nasty Nuggets, the team no one wanted to face in the Western Conference, and somehow someway, GMs still managed to trade picks to him. WTF!? he had like 3~5 picks every single draft and people would actually trade with him and he'd still get more picks! Definitely GM-of-the-League for SSBL2 if there was an award.
---
6. Travo aka Travis
Notable SSBL team(s): v3 Rockets? I forget
Solid GM but seemed to be in-N-out more than the west coast fast food chain. He was somebody's roommate, wasn't he? Nick's? I dunno. He was solid but never could commit. Like a hoe-y GF that isn't really a GF.
---
5. ifliphottboi aka iflip aka "the other flip"
Notable SSBL team(s): v4 Jazz (well he sucked here)
The dude who got me into sim leagues in the first place. We started out in the original RPL and UOSL, but those leagues are a different animal nowadays. He has since retired from Sim leagues and is career-focused. But I have seen him in recent parties and he has asked how the league is doing, and how "his" Jazz are (I told him they had Durant, and he jizzed). I would welcome him back if he could commit to being an active GM, no doubt.
---
4. Pitch2BarrySF aka Pitch aka Dan
Notable SSBL team(s):
I can't remember specific teams of his that were "nasty" but I know Dan is a good GM and a OG of sorts. I heard from Brian he was interested in coming back, possibly to resurrect the Hard Cap'd Kings after Will left, but he didn’t even bother to sign up to the boards. I heard he's over there in Infinity land though....guess he has something against a league not run by Brian? Nevermind, why did I put him at number 4. Themhatin'words!

3. slash aka dave aka mr. responsible
Notable SSBL team(s): v2 Twolves, v3 Pistons, v4 Knicks (the Early years)
The co-commish of v4 who wasn't very active after I took over Simming, mainly because of grad school. Kudos to him. Getting his life in order and going for bigger and better things. People will overlook the fact that the co-commish got CY'd but it really worked out because I had no problem simming and he still wants to get back into sims, but he knows that summer 2011 will be the earliest that could happen. I've known this guy since we were 5 yrs old and we both know our Bball. True story, when we both started in sims, we wouldn’t make ANY trades without consulting the other first.
---
2. Ashes aka Gary Oak aka crutches
Notable SSBL team(s): v2 Kings with Chen Jianghua
Ashes was like that wise grandfather with the long beard who sat in his chair all day meditating whom you can go to if you wanted some daily wisdom. Actually he wasn't mediating, he was in another parallel universe, running one of the best Sim leagues in UOSL2/UOSLR until he had to call it quits in sims all-together. Still, one of the old school GMs from other leagues who I never had a problem with, and he never had a problem with me, aand we had a mutual respect for each other (even though I sucked as a GM in UOSLR). He also ran some good SSBL teams back in the day. Wherever he is, if he ever wanted to do sims again, who knows if he'd be interested in an SSBL league again, but I wouldn't hesitate to bring him back.
---
1. Nick aka Maverick aka greygoose
Notable SSBL team(s): v2 Clippers, v3 & v4 Mavericks
It goes without saying that Nick was one of the best SSBL GMs to date. He was relatively new GM in SSBL2, but when he came onboard, one a few titles out of nowhere, people gained allot of respect for him. He became one of the most active GMs in v3 and v4 until he had to call it quits. He was one of the guys I could talk to about anything, bball-related or not. I even play words-with-friends on my iPod with him sometimes. Definitely a cool guy, whom I could have a beer with. No homo. If he were to IM/PM me and ask for a spot here, I would probably just fire someone just to get him back in. Nick where the hell are ya at?!?
and that's it. Some notable GMs I that almost made the cut: Luca, IVIusashI, Chosen1, jive, crest, flipu (for one reason or another, they didn't make the top 10 )
