These guys deserve more credit.

Contrary to popular belief, Maggette is NOT Xzibit from Pimp My Ride.
The swingman has bounced around a few teams but has definitely found his niche as the Timberwolves’ primary guy off the bench, similar to Lamar Odom’s role a few years back. The former Blue Devil was originally scouted as a score-first, defender-never type of player, but sticking around Coach K for a few seasons has taught him that he should contribute in other ways. He has also improved his handling and passing over the years, and his defense is getting better, especially learning from teammates Kevin Garnett and Andrei Kirilenko this season. A strong candidate for Sixth Man of the Year for the best team in the league.

Ha, about to eat a basketball.
The 29th overall pick by the Suns looks to have been the steal of that draft, with higher ratings than the 1st overall pick of that draft, his teammate Dwight Howard. Ha, unlike Dwight, got some valuable experience in the D-League whilst the still-learning Howard was thrown into the mix right out of high school. People often forget that Ha is a big reason that the Suns are a playoff team right now, averaging a double-double to go along with a little over a block per game as well. The first ever Korean in the SSBL is definitely one of the underrated players in the game today, and is adjusting well playing alongside young up-and-comers in Dwight, Arenas, and Granger.

Could he ever be an All-Star?
Shawn Marion is not a very uncommon name in the basketball world, but I put him on this list because he has been primarily used as a role-player to many successful SSBL teams since he was drafted. At first glance looking at his ratings, you’d think he’d be used as a team’s first option, but being surrounded by great players for many years has taught him to adjust his game to compliment others better, rather than hog the lime light. A Former 1st overall pick back in the 1999 Draft, Marion is nowadays primarily known as a defender and a finisher around the rim who doesn’t do too much, but does all the little things to make his team successful. He’s being used as a Sixth Man this season and hasn’t complained since the adjustment to the bench. “The Matrix” helping out in any way he can for his team’s success.

Once considered a franchise-type player for Mavericks teams of yesteryear, Harrington has found himself playing for rebuilding Pacers teams for the last 3 years. For the 2nd year in a row, the Pacers are once again headed for the Lotto and Harrington has expressed his unhappiness in the situation currently. Pacers GM Timetoshine hasn’t made it clear if it’s necessarily Timetotrade the 26 year old SF, but consider Harrington an under-the-radar type of player nowadays who can still get it down on offense and defense night-in, night-out. The dude is playing through frustration, still averaging 17 PPG and 12 RPG playing out of position at the PF spot.
