I can easily get behind this type of play if these numbers continue. It's official it's SSOL in Portland for the foreseeable future. Joe Johnson is filthy.

Kinda disappointing. Gordon and Pietrus don't look ready for prime time. Kemp was okay, Barkley looked pretty solid, Crawford did his thing off the bench.
Kenny Thomas sucked. That pretty much kills my Kemp starting at the 4, Dirk at the 3 idea. Can't give Thomas significant minutes off the bench.

jut experimenting really, went with the fast, outside focus, but aside from EJ, don't really have the personel to run it. I suspected that was the case, but now I know for sure.

Not sure what to say, except
HOLY!
Didn't play my two best players, started 4 rookies, and went 5-7. Inside focus to see how my 3 bigs could do..well:
Pavel averaged 18.9 points as second option, Bass 17.1 as 3rd option, and Smith averaged 16.7 as 1st option. Rebounding was my biggest weakness last year, and this year it seems like it won't even be an issue. A lot of offense on this squad from places I didn't expect. Especially Pavel with 19/9 and a block in 32 minutes. What's even better is that none of these rookies seem to get into foul trouble - they all averaged over 30 minutes.
Top contributers overall: Pavel: 18.9 ppg/9/5 rpg/1.3 bpg Bass: 17.1 ppg/8.8 rpg/ .8spg,.9bpg Smith: 16.7ppg/6.8 rpg/1.6spg,1.1bpg Felton: 7.5apg and only 2.0 topg - excellent for a rookie point

KVH had a very nice preseason, 26.2ppg from SG, just shows how versatile he is. Deng and Sampson showing some signs, but will be an up and down season with them starting. Dooling did ok, so he should be a good spark off the bench come regular season.

Kinda disappointed...Seems Sprees offense really dipped, and him, Zach and JO minutes are way down then what Id like to see them get...Also how can JO have a better rebounding average then Zach is a mystery. So far Im only happy with the play of Jameer Nelson...I will def make some dc changes.

Was only pre-season but pleased with Borchardt, averaged a double double aswell as 2.2BPG earned himself a starting role and could be in line for a camp at the all star break. Walker did well at PF which is good to know, and Bibby played well apart from his turnovers were a bit high, might have to play at a slower pace.

I didn't like DA as a 1st option. PP is our go-to. My bigs played as expected. Just debating whether or not to stick with Outside focus like the end of last year with Dick as the 3rd option, or go back to Balanced focus to get Zo the ball as a 3rd option.
