Figured I might as well open on up. FA is almost over, Preseason and TC's are on the horizon. What is everyone expecting/hoping for out of their teams this year?
Raptors are still rebuilding, so I'm not expecting anything above .500. This year will mainly be an evaluation and a final one for some players. Still looking to make some changes, but some pieces are falling into place...

There's some question marks but I mean, even if Pietrus and Gordon aren't ready to play a significant role, you'd have to think Duncan + Dirk would = 50+ wins in this league.
My bench needs some better talent and as evidenced by my Pietrus/Gordon and Crawford threads, I'd like to add a 3rd "now" talent to add to Dirk and Duncan. Those are the "holes". If I can fill in that first one, add a competent big fella (don't trust Sabonis to fill that gap) and a solid 2/3 type, we should be quite dangerous.

eddie jones didnt want to play alongside lebron james so it looks like we'll be going through the motions for another season. if the team has a good training camp, we should easily be a top 3 team in the east. i really hope jay williams does his thing and becomes starter material, because if he doesn't he'll officially be a bust. i also really hope gasol gets shit going this training camp, i need him to be an impact player if this team will ever be a contender. the oldest player on my team is Brendan Haywood, whose 25 and has only been around 3 seasons. lolz.

Don't really think my team is any better than year than last but also not worse so I'm sure (barring some crazy injuries) should be in the playoffs as a middle seed, probably 5-6 I'd guess.
I have the same starting lineup with the exception of the power forward spot as lost Smith but added Gugliotta which is about a push come ratings. The only thing I might be better off on this season is depth but my frontcourt is still a concern.

We have issues in the post are best bet may be to go really small and play marion at the 4 but that makes us really thin on the bench. Ideally we will find an upgrade at C for a package of Kurt Thomas and something and a future first or two
