Josh Smith 19 Oak Hill Academy (VA) HS
SF 6-9 220 B C- C- B+ C+ A
Smith is a freak of an athlete. he has tons of upside which should translate well in SSBL. Scouts love that he runs the floor well as a combo forward. He has an outside shoot as well as can score downlow. Smith was named MVP of the Big Time Tournament in 03. He is considering attending Indiana University.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Danny Granger 21 New Mexico Jr
SF 6'8 225 C+ B C B- C+ A
Granger has a prototypical body for a SSBL small forward. He has good size and strength at 6-8, 225 pounds, a solid wingspan and very solid athletic ability. He is smart and smooth, but very physical, and has fantastic footwork to go along with an excellent (and very quick) vertical leap. He is a solid passer. He has a good mid range game, as well as a good inside game, using a variety of post moves. At times, he lacks the star power he could have. He needs to work on his ball handling. He may never be a star player, but could become a solid rotation guy.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Justin Reed 22 Mississippi Sr.
SF 6'8 245 C+ C D+ B- C+ C
Reed is another combo forward type player. He is a lockdown defender. He has an inside game, but not much of an outside one. He needs to work on his offense to be taken serious.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Luol Deng 19 Duke Fr.
SF 6-8 220 B- C C- B- C+ A
Deng has a very high basketball IQ. He is versatile, but still needs to add bulk to his frame. he is a solid scorer as well as rebounder. As a freshman at Duke he averaged 15.1 ppg and 6.9 rpg. Look for Deng to be a lottery pick.

Dorell Wright 19 South Kent Prep (CT) HS
6-8 210 C+ C+ C C+ C A
Wright, out of South Kent HS is considering DePaul. He is a lanky player who can defend multiple positions. He may need to bulk up a bit to contend against other SFs in SSBL. He may be best served by attending DePaul for a few years.

Ndudi Ebi Arizona Fr.
SF 6-9 195 C+ C+ D+ C+ C+ A
Ebi tested the draft waters last season, but decided to attend Arizona. With a year of college under his belt, he has thrown his hat in the fire again. Ebi can play both forward positions. he is lanky and needs to add weight to be considered at the PF spot. He is a good shot blocker, due to his length. He has an solid inside and outside game. In 03, Ebi was on the winning team as he scored 11 points, grabbed 5 boards, blocked 3 shots and nabbed 3 steals in a 107-102 victory over a LeBron James led team in the Jordan Capital Classic. Scouts may take a gamble on Ebi.

WildCard Entrant
Ryan Gomes 22 Providence Jr.
SF 6-7 250 B- C D+ B C+ C
Gomes is a prototypical combo forward. He is a beast on the low block, and can also step out and hit the 3. Gomes has great touch on both the midrange jumper and the bank off the glass. His range, while not to NBA-three range yet, is improving. While some draft prospects might have better natural athleticism, few will outwork Gomes on the low block. He's a hard worker who makes defenses stay on task the whole game. Gomes is a free throw marksman, hitting an astounding 87% from the line this past season. Players like Gomes are tough to judge. Gomes does not possess eye-catching athleticism or the big rubber stamp of potential. But his game is far more developed than that of the young guns. Gomes is a great college player. As a senior, he could scarcely gain more accolades than he did as a junior. He'll have to decide if the lure of the SSBL is greater than that of one more year as the BMOC in Providence.

Travis Outlaw 20 Miss. State Fr.
SF 6-9 210 C+ C+ C- B C+ A
Outlaw is another freak athlete. he uses his athleticism to block shots from anywhere on the court, he can run the court very well, and is an excellent leaper. He needs to gain more muscle to be able to bang downlow with bigger players. He needs to work on a more consistent outside shot.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sergei Monia Russia 21
SF 6-8 220 C+ C+ C C+ C+ B
Monia may be the best international prospect in the draft. If he stays overseas, look for him to remain with CSKA. Some SSBl scouts say he could be a first round pick. He has the athleticism to take the ball to the hoop, but is more perimeter oriented. Scouts are worried that he lacks an inside game. His outside shot is good, but his overall game may need some work.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Viktor Khryapa Russia 22
SF 6-9 215 C+ B- C- C+ C C
Like Monia, Khryapa is considering staying overseas to play for CSKA. He lacks the tools to be an elite scorer. He runs the floor well, and uses his long arms to grab rebounds. His game is more molded around a fast uptempo pace.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Damir Omerhodzic Croatia 19
SF 6'10 225 C C D+ C+ C+ D
Omerhodzic is another lean Euro prospect. he has the height of a PF, but will likely be a more perimeter oriented forward. He may never add enough bulk to be considered a PF. He has good defense skills, but lacks an all round offensive game. He is a raw player, that may need time to prove what is worth it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Damien Wilkins 24 Georgia Sr.
SF 6-6 225 B- C+ C- B C C
Wilkins is the elder of the SF crop. He is a streaky shooter, and may never be a star. He does the little things well, but is it enough. Scouts like the determination from Wilkins. He shows good defensive skills and can run the floor well. Has had two decent seasons at Georgia, after transferring from North Carolina State.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Luka Bogdanovic Serbia 19
SF 6'9 200 C+ C D+ C C D
Luka Bogdanovic is as similar as Omerhodzic. Bogdanovic lacks athleticism. He gets beats on the defensive end constantly. He needs to show scouts better skills to even be considered a SSBL type player. He was once thought of a highly touted prospect, but his lack of improvement sees him as fringe prospect now.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Josh Childress 21 Stanford Jr.
SF 6-7 196 C+ C+ C B C B
Childress is a do it all type player. He can score, rebound and defend. The only question SSBL scouts have is if he is strong enough. He needs to add bulk to be more of a threat. He is very competitive and likes the ball in his hands come crunch time. Look for lottery teams to take a long look at Childress.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Luke Jackson 23 Oregon Sr.
SF 6-7 210 C A- C C C C
Jackson is a 4 year player, and that may hurt him come draft night. He finished in the top 10 in scoring, rebounding and assists. he is an all around player. He loves to shoot after the catch. His lateral quickness may need work to defend quicker players at the next level. He isn't as quick as some of the other SFs in the draft, but has the motor of a well oiled machine.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rich Melzer 25 Australian League HS
SF 6-8 225 C C C- B C+ D
He has a nice mid range jumper, but needs to show more outside consistency. He played mostly down low, so needs to work on an outside game. He has a big wingspan, so rebounding comes naturally. He is a good athlete, but nothing more. He looks to be the first Division III player drafted since Devean George.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Trevor Ariza 19 UCLA Fr.
SF 6-7 194.C+ B- C B C A
Ariza is a long and lanky layer. He is a very solid offensive rebounder. He has a jumpshot, but isn't known as a big time scorer. Needs to work on his weight issue if he veer ants to become a starting caliber SSBL player.
Josh Smith 19 Oak Hill Academy (VA) HS
