T.J. Ford
PG 6'0 165 21 Texas So.
C+ C+ A- B- D+ A
This guy is quick as hell. Can score at will and is a great passer. His size is a concern, as well as his jumpshot mechanics, but that was his knock last year and he has improved slightly. Turnover prone as well, but that's what you get with a PG who threads the needle at times. Probably the best overall PG in terms of ability and athleticism.
-----------------------------------------------
Devin Harris
PG 6'3 185 21 Wisconsin Jr.
C+ B- B B- D+ A
Was the Big Ten Player-of-the-Year as a junior after finishing second in the conference in scoring. He is an excellent outside shooter with good range. Harris has good size at point guard and can play both backcourt spots. He has long arms and good lateral quickness. Still, needs to add bulk and continue to prove to scouts that he is a true point guard, since he tends to create for himself rather than set his teammates up.
-----------------------------------------------
Jameer Nelson
PG 6'0 192 22 St. Joseph's Sr.
C+ B+ B- B- D+ B
Was College Basketball News' Player of the Year after leading the Hawks to an undefeated regular season. He is an outstanding floor general with good leadership skills. Nelson has excellent strength and showed an improved outside shot. But he is undersized and some wonder about his quickness defending top-flight point guards. Nelson has shown shooting range in pre-draft workouts and is expected to be drafted in the mid to late first round.

Wildcard entrant
Raymond Felton
PG 6'1 200 20 North Carolina So.
C B B+ B- C- B
A speedy guard. Shows energy and assertiveness in pushing the ball upcourt. A clear leader on UNC's roster loaded with star players and future pros. Dynamic play from the point and leadership will be highly sought after by SSBL general managers, making him likely to be a lottery pick. Sparks the offense with excellent passing and court vision. Quickness makes him very tough to stop in the open floor, and is a strong finisher around the basket. Excellent at battling through traffic in the lane. Reputation as a poor outside shooter proved to be somewhat unfounded during NCAAs, but still needs work to become a consistent threat with the jump shot. Not a great shooter off the dribble. Size could be an issue in the pros, but is strong and a tenacious defender.
-----------------------------------------------
Wildcard entrant
Sebastian Telfair
PG 6'0 170 19 Lincoln HS (NY)
C+ C+ B+ C+ D+ A
A New York legend who intends to play with Louisville but is considering turning pro early. He is a high-scoring point guard who has excellent court vision and a flair for making the highlight-reel play. Telfair added strength in the offseason and worked hard on his outside shot. Lack of size is a concern. Needs to continue to work on his game to make the jump to the next level.
-----------------------------------------------
Wildcard entrant
Shaun Livingston
PG 6'7 180 19 Peoria HS
B- C B- B C A
Livingston has the size at point guard that SSBL scouts love. He led his team to back-to-back state titles. Livingston played in the EA Sports Roundball Classic, the McDonald’s All-American Game and he shined in the KMOX Shootout in December in front of plenty of SSBL scouts. Livingston has added nearly twenty pounds since the McDonald’s Game, but still needs to get stronger. He is an outstanding passer with good court vision. He signed with Duke in the early signing period but is considering entering the draft.

Chris Duhon
PG 6'1 190 22 Duke Sr.
C B- B+ B D+ C
A pure point guard with great fundamentals and floor vision. A smart player on both ends of the floor. A gritty, tough defender. An excellent athlete who runs the floor well. Great stamina.
But after showing promise during his freshman and sophomore seasons, he's struggled to get the ball in the basket. Can hit the long ball, but inconsistent. A mediocre free throw shooter who will go entire games without getting to the line. An excellent athlete, but not very explosive.
-----------------------------------------------
Andre Barrett
PG 5'10 185 22 Seton Hall Sr.
C B- B- B- D+ C
A talented player who understands the game. He is a point guard in the truest sense and could run an offense in the SSBL. His quickness will allow him to take his man off the dribble, he is an above average long-range shooter and showed significant improvement in his shot selection as a senior. Height is a concern. Barrett's lack of size will undoubtedly hurt his offensive game at the next level, but the greater concern is his defense, because bigger point guards will create mismatches. If Barrett can use effort and smarts to compensate, he has a chance to stick.
-----------------------------------------------
Antonio Burks
PG 6'2 204 24 Memphis Sr.
C+ B B- B- C- C
Has quickness and can create his own shot off the dribble. He has a strong body that absorbs contact when finishing, is an excellent outside shooter and a bothersome defender, often collecting strips. As a point guard, Burks' decision-making and ballhandling abilities are impressive. He understands how to spark an offense without turning the ball over. Although Burks does many things well, he might not be dominant enough in any one area to crack the lineup. If Burks had more size, his value as a prospect would be far greater.
-----------------------------------------------
Blake Stepp
PG 6'4 196 22 Gonzaga Sr.
C B+ B+ C+ C- C
Stepp is an outstanding outside shooter, but has dealth with an ankle injury in his senior year. Stepp finished seventh in the country in assists, but scouts still wonder if he can be a true playmaker. He has excellent shooting range and can carry a team when he is hot. Stepp struggled with his shot in the NCAA Tournament. He needs to continue to work on his ability to defender quicker guards.
-----------------------------------------------
Lionel Chalmers
PG 6'0 183 24 Xavier Sr.
C+ B C+ C+ D+ C
Another quick point guard who is at his best in the transition game. Is fearless on the court. Hits good % of threes. But is really a point guard? He played the two for much of the year and tends to look for his own shot. Can get out of control. Poor assist-to-turnover ratio.
-----------------------------------------------
Luis Flores
PG 6'2 197 23 Manhattan Sr.
B- C C+ B D+ C
It is extremely difficult for defenders to stay in front of Flores. He has great lateral speed. Once he gets into the lane, he is a surprisingly effective scorer in traffic, despite his lack of size. He has great toughness, decent range on his jump shot and is an excellent ball thief. Flores may not be a complete SSBL player, but he certainly has a lot of SSBL skills. However, not a natural PG, more of a 2-guard trying to make the switch to point
-----------------------------------------------
Marcus Moore
PG 6'5 202 Washington St. Sr.
C C B- B C C
Moore has excellent size at point guard, but needs to show that he can get his teammates involved. His scoring dropped 4.7 points per game under a new head coach. Moore needs to play under control and cut down on turnovers.
-----------------------------------------------
Rashad Wright
PG 6'2 191 22 Georgia Sr.
C+ B C C+ D+ C
As a senior, increased his scoring with an increase in minutes played (almost 37 MPG), but sadly, his assists and A/TO ratio dipped as he looked for his shot more. Fairly effecient scorer though from the field and from three, but only an average FT shooter.
-----------------------------------------------
Royal Ivey
PG 6'3 204 23 Texas Sr.
C+ C B B- C- C
A 4-year starter from Texas who passes well and takes care of the ball. Uses his big frame to get past opponents and dish off to teammates. Can score when called upon and is a solid defender.
Spends too much time on the perimeter. Despite good versatility he needs to find more of a niche for himself in the Pros.
-----------------------------------------------
Beno Udrih
PG 6'4 200 22 Slovenia
C B- B- C+ D+ B
A slick, play-making guard from Slovenia who has logged time with a variety of teams in Europe. He is a natural leader on the floor, can penetrate, has a deft sense of tempo control, is efficient with his handle, makes passes early in the development of plays and can knock down the long-range jumper. However, has had nagging injuries consistently throughout his career and clubs are worried he will not hold up over an 82-game schedule.
-----------------------------------------------
Vassilis Spanoulis
PG 6'4 190 22 Greece
C+ B- C+ C+ C- B
Solid Euro PG who can knock down shots off the dribble. Decent handler and passer and likes to push the tempo. Needs to get stronger for the different style of play in America.
-----------------------------------------------
Marcelo Huertas
PG 6'3 185 21 Brazil
C+ B- C+ C D+ B
A flashy point guard, very quick, especially with the ball in his hands. Can drive-and-kick or drive-and-finish with the best of them. Not a bad shooter, but mechanics are kinda unorthodox. Needs to cut down on turning the ball over. Also, definitely needs to add some muscle. Defense could be worked on as well.
