T.J. Ford PG 5'10 165 Texas So. 20 C+ C+ A- B- D+ A
This guy is quick as hell. Can score at will and is a great passer. His size is a concern, as well as his jumpshot mechanics, but that was his knock last year and he has improved slightly. Turnover prone as well, but that's what you get with a PG who threads the needle at times. Probably the best overall PG in terms of ability and athleticism.
Maurice Williams PG 6'1 185 Alabama So. 21 C+ B+ C+ C+ D+ A
Has increased his scoring this year. Shoot-first type of PG who can put points on the board in a hurry. Has good range. Can handle the ball but isn't a gifted playmaker. Not hesitant to launch from deep even with a hand in his face.
Jameer Nelson PG 6'0 192 St. Joseph's Jr. 21 C+ B B- B- D+ A
Has good strength and handles. Likes to pull up for deep shots. Good play maker and has good leadership. Lacks size and is only average athletically.
Kirk Hinrich PG 6'3 190 Kansas Sr. 22 C B- B B+ C- B
Probably the best PG skill-wise of all prospects but is not very athletic. A natural PG who didn't have to play that much PG and was more notorious for being a clutch shooter. Has good size for a PG but his best strength is his defensive prowess. He's a good perimeter and help defender who can get a steal or two. But scouts question his potential.
Zoran Planinic PG 6'7 195 Croatia 21 C B- C+ C+ C A
Intelligent natural PG with some shooting ability. Versatile and can play the 1, 2, or 3. Surprisingly quick for a player his height. He needs to get stronger and is not very athletic as it is. Being a foreigner, he'll need to adjust on defense.
Marcus Banks PG 6'2 220 UNLV Sr. 22 C+ B- B- B- C- B
Strong body. Can penetrate and find open teammates. Shot efficiently from the field (51%) in his senior rear. Decent shooter but a better penetrator. Although a good passer, he's a bad decision-maker. Turnovers could be a problem.
Steve Blake PG 6'3 172 Maryland Sr. 23 C B- B+ B- D+ C
Good passer who likes to push the ball up the floor. Solid defender who gets steals. Sometimes goes for flashy pass too often. He'll need to develop into a knock-down shooter to succeed at the next level.
Marcus Taylor PG 6'2 194 Michigan State Jr. 22 B- C+ B- C+ C- B
Taylor plays under control and doesn't show emotion, but make no mistake, he is a competitor. He is an excellent point guard who can make plays and take care of the basketball. His jumper is improving, and he gets his share of rebounds. He has improved in a variety of areas and scouts are now paying more attention to this prospect who was projected a 2nd rounder last year.
Reece Gaines PG 6'6 205 Louisville Sr. 22 C+ B- C+ B- C B
Combo guard who shifted from SG to PG last year. A good playmaker who has good leaping ability and solid shooting. Not a great passer but a good athlete.
Troy Bell PG 6'1 180 Boston College Sr. 23 C+ B+ C C D+ C
A scoring PG in every sense. Has good speed and shooting. But will he be able to set up teammates?
Luke Ridnour PG 6'2 175 Oregon Jr. 22 C B B- C+ C- B
A true PG with good ball-handling and good passing. Not very athletic but a good outside shooter. Not great at breaking down defenses or blowing by people but can run an offense and find teammates.
Paccelis Morlende PG 6'2 185 France 22 C+ B- C+ B- C- B
This Frenchie is still learning the PG because he's more of a natural two, but has shown good handles and good court vision. Has good size and quickness. His outside shot is even more impressive. Has only played PG for the last two years. Comparisons to Tony Parker? Not close. A different type of combo guard, but Morlende does have the shooting that TP lacks.
Derrick Zimmerman PG 6'2 195 Mississippi State Sr. 22 C C B+ B D+ C
Great passer but not a great scorer. Also plays on-ball defense well and gets a bunch of steals.
Keith McLeod PG 6'2 188 Bowling Green Sr. 24 C B B C+ D+ C
Solid handles and shooting. Needs to work on defense and play-making abilities.
