Jay Williams PG 6'0 197 Duke Jr. 21 C+ B- B- B- C- A
Williams was the premier guard in college basketball. His motor is always on full throttle, so he's a threat every second he's on the court. Has the ability to score points in bunches with game-breaking three-point shooting. Can also explode to the basket. Williams must make a higher percentage from the free-throw line.
T.J. Ford PG 5'10 165 Texas Fr. 19 C+ C+ A- B- D+ A
He has a high basketball IQ, great floor vision, and has a pass-first mentality. Super quick. Can throw down 360 dunks despite his height. Doesn't have a great jump shot to go with that small frame is nearly a death wish. Most players who fit that description would not even be drafted. The fact that Ford is a probable top-10 selection speaks volumes about his talent.
Tito Maddox PG 6'4 190 Fresno State 21 C+ C+ B C+ C- A
Maddox is a great athlete who is quick and explosive. He's already got professional experience, having played for the Phoenix Eclipse of the ABA. He played one season at Fresno State
Juan Carlos Navarro PG 6'3 172 Spain 22 C B- B- C+ D+ B
Carlos has deep range and isn't afraid to shoot, especially at crunch time. He also can drive to the goal for points and is a reliable defender.
Dan Dickau PG 6'0 190 Gonzaga Sr. 24 C B+ B- C D+ B
Dickau is a crafty point guard who can be a game-breaking shooter when his jumper is falling from the 3-point line. And he also has a quick first step to the basket, making him tough to defend. He's smart and tough, but size could be a problem. Also, being an older player hurts his draft stock (despite his experience).
Jannero Pargo PG 6'1" 170 Arkansas So. 23 C B C+ C+ D B
Solid jumpshot and has solid handles. Plays pretty good defense. Thin frame so needs to bulk up a bit.
Smush Parker PG 6'4" 180 Fordham So. 21 C C+ C+ C+ D+ B
Parker is a solid guard who can shoot, handle and pass. Solid all-around player who averaged 17/4/4 but also got 4 turnovers per game. Still young and has room to improve all aspects of his game.
Frank Williams PG 6'3 205 Illinois Jr. 22 C B- B B- D+ C
Williams is tough, physical and a good leader. He's also got great court savvy and is a willing defender. He's not extremely quick, but can get to the basket when he chooses too.
Milos Vujanic PG 6'2 183 Yugoslavia 22 C B C+ C D+ C
Very quick and a solid 3pt shooter and jumpshooter. Needs to improve defense if he wants to compete in the American game.
Marcus Taylor PG 6'2 194 Michigan State So. 21 B- C+ B- C+ C- C
Taylor plays under control and doesn't show emotion, but make no mistake, he is a competitor. He is an excellent point guard who can make plays and take care of the basketball. His jumper is improving, and he gets his share of rebounds.
Steve Logan PG 5'11 199 Cincinatti Sr. 22 C B+ C C D+ C
A true combo guard, but doesn't have the size to play shooting guard in the SSBL. Logan carried Cincinnati at times and wound up leading Conference USA in scoring. He's a great free throw shooter (87%) and better than average from 3-point range (37%).
Maurice Baker PG 6'1 175 Oklahoma St Sr. 23 B- C+ C+ C+ C- C
Baker is a good athlete who takes advantage of his great leaping ability. He's a strong defender and rebounds as well as anyone his size. Baker can play either guard spot. He makes a fair percentage of his three-point shots and is an excellent free throw shooter.
Lynn Greer PG 6'2 175 Temple Sr. 23 C+ B B- B- D+ C
Greer is a great point guard who has all the requisite skills. He's smart, doesn't get rattled, has great quickness and can penetrate and score. He could stand to put on a few pounds of muscle.
Trevor Huffman PG 6'1 190 Kent St Sr. 23 C A- C+ C D+ D
Huffman is a savvy veteran who wound up as Kent State's all-time leading scorer. Excellent 3pt shooter. Also has a knack for clutch shooting.
