sorted by reg. season winning %
In 3 seasons so far to date, how does your team rank in the regular season?
1. Los Angeles Lakers
Reg Season: 196 - 76 (72.1 win%)
Postseason: 23-14 (62.2%)
# of postseasons: 3
# of Finals appearances: 0
# of Championships: 0
The Lakers have had a top record every single season since SSBL4 has started (thanks to Kobe and Shaq when he was around), however have never made it once to the SSBL finals. Some heart-breaking upsets every year in the playoffs has left Kobe Bryant scratching his head every single offseason. This has also driven Kobe to consistently improve his game and he is a leading candidate for MVP this season.
2. Sacramento Kings
Reg Season: 181 - 94 (65.8 win%)
Postseason: 23-14 (60.4%)
# of postseasons: 3
# of Finals appearances: 2
# of Championships: 1
Former GM Will put together a solid core of Webber, Eddie, NVE, Mookie, and Vlade who have brought Sacramento one of the three championships to date in SSBL4. Deservingly, the Kings are among the SSBL elite.
3. Philadelphia 76ers
Reg Season: 169 - 100 (62.8 win%)
Postseason: 19-19 (50.0%)
# of postseasons: 3
# of Finals appearances: 0
# of Championships: 0
The Sixers have made the playoffs every year, however have not made it very far even as a high seed. AI and the Mailman can only do so much, but Robby brought in some help this year in hopes of keeping the Sixers one of the teams to beat once again this year.
4. Milwaukee Bucks
Reg Season: 155 - 117 (57.0 win%)
Postseason: 16-17 (48.5%)
# of postseasons: 3
# of Finals appearances: 0
# of Championships: 0
The sharp-shooting Bucks have also made the playoffs every year, but actually have a losing record (16-17) in post-season play. Ray Allen is becoming a very special player, but hopefully they don't 'shoot' themselves into a hole each year.
5. Toronto Raptors
Reg Season: 154 - 119 (56.4 win%)
Postseason: 3-8 (27.3%)
# of postseasons: 2
# of Finals appearances: 0
# of Championships: 0
Before he left, buff put together a nice squad for the next Raptors GM, who all of a sudden, decides to rebuild despite being the top seed in the East...weird. The departure of Dirk left Toronto fans questioning the new GM's motives, but we can all assume that the move was purely to establish his mark as the new GM in town. The Raptors have been a good regular season team, but let's face it, they blow in the playoffs, boasting only 3 wins and never advancing passed the first round. I guess this is why a change was necessary?
6. San Antonio Spurs
Reg Season: 153 - 120 (56.0 win%)
Postseason: 24-15 (61.5%)
# of postseasons: 3
# of Finals appearances: 1
# of Championships: 1
Many consider the Spurs' championship season the fluke 'ship, considering it was the first time almost anybody has seen a team under .500 during the regular season squeeze into the playoffs as the #8 seed and actually win the damn thing. Regardless, the Spurs have since maintained their winning ways and rank 6th in highest win % and boast an excellent 24-15 record in post season play (they made the playoffs every year too). That's no fluke.
7. Chicago Bulls
Reg Season: 149 - 122 (55.0 win%)
Postseason: 3-8 (10-16%)
# of postseasons: 3
# of Finals appearances: 0
# of Championships: 0
The Bulls have quietly made the playoffs every single year playing well during the regular season but never advancing once passed the first round. Coop hasn't really done much besides bringing in Ostertag and Christie to win more games, but other than that, DaBulls are pretty bad in the post-season.
8. Portland Trailblazers
Reg Season: 147 - 127 (53.6 win%)
Postseason: 11-13 (45.8%)
# of postseasons: 2
# of Finals appearances: 0
# of Championships: 0
WWMPD had some pretty nice teams in the past, but last year had a shitty season and won the lottery. Now all his chips are invested in the young kid Joe Johnson from Arkansas. It is a rebuilding season for the Blazers but the future looks bright.
9. Denver Nuggets
Reg Season: 145 - 127 (53.3 win%)
Postseason: 6-12 (33.3%)
# of postseasons: 3
# of Finals appearances: 0
# of Championships: 0
The Nuggets are another team that, once again, plays well in the regular season but has difficulty making it passed the 1st round in the playoffs. They are led by McDyess and Billups, but they need help in other areas if they want to advance further.
10. Orlando Magic
Reg Season: 144 - 129 (52.7 win%)
Postseason: 10-8 (55.6%)
# of postseasons: 2
# of Finals appearances: 0
# of Championships: 0
The Magic aren't a great team...they are led by Penny Hardaway but haven't had much help. Dikembe isn't the game-changing center he once was, and Steve Smith can only score with no defense. Penny has played some PG but even at SG he's a turnover whore. If the Magic can't put it together this season, expect some big changes in Disneyworld.
11. Dallas Mavericks
Reg Season: 143 - 134 (51.6 win%)
Postseason: 16-10 (61.5%)
# of postseasons: 2
# of Finals appearances: 0
# of Championships: 0
The Mavs went from one of the most promising young teams, to a contender in the west. But after Duncan, Anderson, and Fox all bailed to new teams via FA last year, Dallas went into rebuilding mode once again. Now Al Harrington is their corner piece. I don't doubt Nick's ability to turn this young team into a winner real soon.
12. Indiana Pacers
Reg Season: 136 - 130 (51.1 win%)
Postseason: 7-11 (38.9%)
# of postseasons: 2
# of Finals appearances: 0
# of Championships: 0
The Pacers are the notorious team that steals big name FA's. Last year it was Zo and this year it was TD. Looks like TD isn't going where though, and now this team is one of the favorites in the East. They also drafted Jamal Crawford who looks to be a nice 6th man to compliment their front line. They were a rebuilding team for a year but the way this team is put together they should start winning very soon.
13. Boston Celtics
Reg Season: 135 - 135 (50.0 win%)
Postseason: 12-10 (54.5%)
# of postseasons: 2
# of Finals appearances: 0
# of Championships: 0
And we reach the .500 mark here. The Celtics have made the playoffs every year that PP and Walker played together. Now Toine is gone and the Celtics missed the playoffs. However new GM rungunn appears to be active in trade talks and is eager to help PP and the C's get back to their winning ways.
14. Miami Heat
Reg Season: 134 - 138 (49.3 win%)
Postseason: 19-9 (67.9%)
# of postseasons: 2
# of Finals appearances: 1
# of Championships: 1
The Heat were the first ever champions of SSBL4 but were shocked when Zo left town after failing to re-peat the following year. So Shawn decided to rebuild and were able to nab Zach Randolph and Jamaal Tinsley in last year's draft. Currently, they have the worst record 4-22 and are destined for the lotto again.
15. Charlotte Hornets
Reg Season: 134 - 139 (49.1 win%)
Postseason: 13-12 (52.0%)
# of postseasons: 2
# of Finals appearances: 1
# of Championships: 0
They can't seem to land a steady GM. It's a shame because they Hornets actually have a promising young core of Franchise, Peja, and the BIRDMAN. The Hornets have made the playoffs twice and actually made it to the finals under a GM who didn't contribute shit to the league. But regardless, the Hornets are usually around .500 team and need some changes.
16. Phoenix Suns
Reg Season: 133 - 141 (48.5 win%)
Postseason: 5-8 (38.5%)
# of postseasons: 2
# of Finals appearances: 0
# of Championships: 0
Rider and the Suns have made the playoffs twice but never got passed the first round. After their GM pitch left, the Suns went an entire season GMless, not good. Now we have sp1187 who vows to turn the franchise around.
17. Detroit Pistons
Reg Season: 131 - 141 (48.2 win%)
Postseason: 12-16 (42.9%)
# of postseasons: 2
# of Finals appearances: 1
# of Championships: 0
Another team that couldn't find a steady GM, now Jebly returns and promises to be active and not play COD as much. The Pistons actually made the finals one year under another GM who also bailed on the league and didn't do much. But Jeb recently brought in Dirk and Finley to the 313. Should be the start of something great for DE-TROIT...BASKETBALLLLL.
18. New Jersey Nets
Reg Season: 127 - 145 (46.7 win%)
Postseason: 0-0 (n/a %)
# of postseasons: 0
# of Finals appearances: 0
# of Championships: 0
The Nets have never made the playoffs but they look to be a playoff team this year. They have stayed put with their core of Marbury-Artest-Thomas-Camby and all have developed nicely. They are young and talented, and hopefully will make the playoffs so that verysilentone avoids his Contract Year.
19. New York Knicks
Reg Season: 128 - 146 (46.7 win%)
Postseason: 0-0 (n/a %)
# of postseasons: 0
# of Finals appearances: 0
# of Championships: 0
It's unfortunate that the commissioner of the league hasn't been able to make the playoffs yet, and to throw dirt on the wound, hasn't be able to keep his picks each year either. He has been shopping Spree since the beginning of time and still, no one seems to be interested in the coach-puncher. Unless some drastic changes are made, the Knicks are probably a lotto team once again this year, and what the hell is going to happen if a co-commish get's CY'd?? is that even possible?
20. Vancouver Grizzlies
Reg Season: 127 - 145 (46.7 win%)
Postseason: 1-4 (20.0 %)
# of postseasons: 1
# of Finals appearances: 0
# of Championships: 0
You'd be surprised to see the scary Grizzlies this low in the win% ranks, but let's face it. Before their big offseason last year, they were a pretty bad team. Last year was their first year in the post-season, but the whole world was shocked when they were bounced from the 1st round. This year they added Shaq, who coincidentally hasn't won a championship either, so you know he's hungry for a title.
21. Washington Wizards
Reg Season: 126 - 147 (46.2 win%)
Postseason: 3-4 (42.9%)
# of postseasons: 1
# of Finals appearances: 0
# of Championships: 0
Carlos made some nice moves last season, but the Wizards are still a pretty average-at-best team. Carlos got Payton and Walker and got them into the playoffs last season, which was a huge step for the franchise. In due time, they can be one of the better teams in the Atlantic and in the Eastern conference.
22. Los Angeles Clippers
Reg Season: 124 - 151 (45.1 win%)
Postseason: 0-8 (0.0%)
# of postseasons: 2
# of Finals appearances: 0
# of Championships: 0
Yesisme's teams have quietly made the playoffs each year, but have done really bad in the playoffs, winless each year they made the playoffs (0-8). I think it's time to shake up the roster.
23. Atlanta Hawks
Reg Season: 123 - 151 (44.9 win%)
Postseason: 0-0 (n/a%)
# of postseasons: 0
# of Finals appearances: 0
# of Championships: 0
The Hawks have never made the playoffs either, and things are looking grim again this year so far. They were able to bring in mashburn this year too, but unless they put it together soon, JCarter could be in his CY next year!
24. Seattle Supersonics
Reg Season: 121 - 151 (44.5 win%)
Postseason: 0-0 (n/a%)
# of postseasons: 0
# of Finals appearances: 0
# of Championships: 0
Another sad franchise, MGcoug looks like he is gearing up for the future, now that he can say that it is HIS team.
25. Cleveland Cavaliers
Reg Season: 120 - 153 (44.0 win%)
Postseason: 0-0 (n/a%)
# of postseasons: 0
# of Finals appearances: 0
# of Championships: 0
When wcubmac took over, the Cavs were pretty shitty, and they don't look that much better this year. However they got some young guys in Wally, JWill, and Nocioni and are shopping around Anderson for some pieces. Z looks good too. But this is another lotto year unless changes are made.
26. Houston Rockets
Reg Season: 117 - 155 (43.0 win%)
Postseason: 6-9 (40.0%)
# of postseasons: 2
# of Finals appearances: 0
# of Championships: 0
Another sad franchise, the "old" Rockets barely got by with Dream and Pippen all those years. Now, Crutches is in town (I think) and will rebuild this team for the future.
27. Golden State Warriors
Reg Season: 113- 161 (41.2 win%)
Postseason: 0-0 (n/a%)
# of postseasons: 0
# of Finals appearances: 0
# of Championships: 0
Well Mike is finally gone, and heelsguy looks like an active GM. The Warriors have had the same lineup forever, and have forever missed the playoffs. They are still rebuilding, though they are flirting with a near .500 record at the moment. Fans in the Bay Area have something to look forward to (hopefully)
28. Minnesota Timberwolves
Reg Season: 107 - 170 (38.6 win%)
Postseason: 0-0 (n/a%)
# of postseasons: 0
# of Finals appearances: 0
# of Championships: 0
Len essentially sat on his team of KG and nobody, went on vacation for a few weeks, came back, and AK and everyone had good TCs. But he's not complaining because Lamar is playing pretty well out of position, and this "Turnover City" team is actually the NUMBER ONE TEAM IN THE LEAGUE at 22-9. Patience is a virtue.
29. Utah Jazz
Reg Season: 83 - 191 (30.3 win%)
Postseason: 0-4 (0.0%)
# of postseasons: 1
# of Finals appearances: 0
# of Championships: 0
The Jazz actually made the playoffs in the first season, nearly winning the series in 7 games but fell short. They have been rebuilding ever since, and have done pretty lousy in the regular season. They were destined for the #1 pick almost every year but lucked out in the lotto. Right now, Kmart and Parker are the franchise, but outside of the two youngsters, nothing seems to be working and Jerry Sloan is pulling out all his hair. But I don't doubt iflip's GMing capabilities and he can turn this thing around.

They are still rebuilding, though they are flirting with a near .500 record at the moment. Fans in the Bay Area have something to look forward to (hopefully)
