On The Roster Files

Management has recognized some disparities between the file I've been circulating for testing and the rosters that are up right now. There are a handful of players whose ratings are off--if they are, I will PM you and let you know that you'll see an adjustment. I WILL ONLY MAKE RATINGS ADJUSTMENTS IF THERE IS SOMETHING OFF IN THE SSBL 4 ROSTER FILES THAT I'VE BEEN WORKING ON WITH RAY/BRIAN: NO GRIPES.

A few of you have already mentioned an instance where players might not be on their proper team--thanks for picking up on that, and as soon as I get home from work, I'll fix that. Just PM me and provide links from basketball-reference or wherever.

In addition, Len has pointed out that the salaries aren't terribly historical--if you absolutely want your salaries to be historical, you can help things happen quicker by researching on basketball-reference and figuring out who earns what. Otherwise, we'll stick with the salaries as they are (randomly generated, but I took out the ridiculous ones). I don't have the time to do this all myself, but I'm willing to make salaries more historical if you're willing to do the leg work there

ADDENDUM: I'll be at work until about 5:30/6 PM EST, so I won't be able to make any changes until then.

In general, you can expect replies to PMs on this matter AFTER I make the changes (as a confirmation), but if there's any real pressing stuff, I'll send you a response as needed, and then make the change later.

Finally, if we make the salaries historical, I might need to adjust the salary cap--more word on that, but since FA is currently scheduled for Saturday, you'll have plenty of time to alter bids as you see fit.

yep, changing all salaries to ACTUAL REAL LIFE salaries was a projet Len and I were compiling, but it would be too hectic to fix it now, since people have done trades and stuff now, plus people would have to re-plan their trading stratgies, roster moves, etc

plus, it didnt help that the CBA was restructured after the 98-99 NBA season, some people with prior contracts had some pretty whacky deals
