This is baring a trade and the Clippers have been in trade talks although the clippers were a few time last season with no fruition. The clippers are being built around defense and balanced scoring. It will be Millertime as far as the floor general.
Centers
Candyman is the big man in the center although he could get pushed by Jerome James. Candyman is winning out for now because of his scoring and rebounding. James may be better in the long run though and will be given plenty of PT.
Powerforwards
Lorenzen Wright remains a pf with a lot of potential although team officials wish he would work on his defense. Brian Skinner could actually push Wright. He plays better defense, but lacks the ability to crash the boards.
BTW keep the IRL in your prayers he is missing and it doesn't sound good.
Small Forward
This is the Clippers strongest position. Rodney Rogers is the better sf although Williamson still has upside. Both will probably see time at pf as well and Williamson could get moved if the right deal opens up.
Shooting Guard
The Clippers have looked at this as their weakest position. Because of the glut at SF Nesby was moved to SG late last season. It is an experiment that is too soon to tell if it is affective. Piatkowski is made to be an instant offense role player off the bench not a go to player. This season that will be his job.
Point Guard This was a weaker spot last season which has been shored up. Miller is capable of being one of the better floor generals in the game if he develops. The team is handing him the reigns from day one. Damon Jones will be expected to provide offense off the bench.
This team is obviously not ready to challenge the likes of the Lakers but is hopefully it has enough talent to sneak into the playoffs. It missed by 3 games last season and should have enough improvements to improve more than that.
