Kinda disappointed with kevin Love... I think his inside should at least be B-. I know he hasnt started scoring until this year but thats because he was always yielding to Al Jefferson while coming off the bench too.

I wouldn't worry about it, I'm sure some of these guys are going to completely blow up in their first training camp or two and become stars in a hurry.

There were two guys in the draft that I couldn't deny giving A- ratings to, and that was Kevin Love and Stephen Curry...Both deserve A- in their respective categories by far. To be honest I'm just happy there are some inside/out players in this draft as opposed to the last 2 where it was all B- C scoring ratings. We're finally getting some guard depth..
Also, nobody should forget that these are the ratings they have before even playing a game. They always have a TC to go through - these are simply ratings to draft on. The rest is up to them.

How are the ratings determined?
If they are determined by their stats in college and such than DJ White should have a higher rebounding grade than a B since he averaged .3 less than Love did in college.
I have a feeling that maybe we rate guys simply on names and we assume they should get these ratings right out of the gate.
As far as the ratings and TC thing, if the player has a high potential rating hes going to progress faster than others, so maybe we need to lower the potentials so that as rmanske said these guys dont blow up to be stars after 1 or 2 tc

and no, the ratings are not based on college.

Joel has been giving out ratings almost exactly the same way as I would have rated them. Some based on college stats, but with some r/l NBA impact on ratings as well.

Some of it had to do with potential, some of it was completely fbb-random.

Ray gave me one basic rule when I started doing the draft files here, and that was no rookie should really have higher than B+ rating in any category - and I agreed totally. So far it's been potential and D-League primarily that has progressed players to where they are. I think the league's very fair, with a good share of talent in surprising places, along with some picks that could be seen as mistakes a few years down the road, just like the NBA... When we look at these drafts we shouldn't be looking at names and saying "Oh that would never happen in real life." In no way should anyone be saying that, in my opinion. The only thing I regret is NOT giving Bargnani 5/5 rebounding No offense Il Mago If anyone feels there are problems feel free to suggest something in future years, I'll be more than happy to look them over and consider your points...

by the way, there is a Joe Alexander on the Rockets, but that was an auto-generated fake player by FBB...who just so happeend to have had FBB select the random first name Joe and the random last name Alexander by the game.
