Before TC starts, what teams do people see becoming contenders, falling out of favor, or surprising people? What players are expected to explode? Discuss here!

Hornets I have to agree. I think Monta turns into an All-Star scorer this year.
As far as my Raptors, I'm hoping DA stands pat for me at the SF. Speaking of SF's, I have that glut of youngsters and if any one of them blow up, DA is on his way out. I'm hoping Williams or Green prove themselves, even though I'm putting Williams in the Dleague this season.
Wade, hope he improves his scoring a little more, 25 points a game would be better.
If Pollard, Kobe, Yao stay put I'll be happy.

I'm hoping that Brown improves slightly, really not expecting much at all. I hope guys like PP, Johnson, Q, Kandi stay the same.

Any idea on what rookie explodes? It seems every year one taken with a late pick turns into something nice.

Im going to go out on a limb and say Brandon Wright explodes, Really like him, couldn't believe he fell so low.
As for the knicks, Im hoping most of my team stays put. Azu, Turiaf, Amare, and Ilic improve.

Paul for sure, always expected him to burst out in a training camp and he never did. So now that I traded him, he'll burst into a star pg

Kandi took a slight dip. Petway looks to be a nice project. Brown improved. Crawford turned into a useful player. Johnson/Q stayed the same. Pierce lost outside, but still looks good

Beans went up in Rebounding and Inside..and now he looks pretty studly. Reeves went down in inside..bummer, but will still be a nice defensive/rebounding starting center. Kleiza looks sexy..he went up to B+ defense. He may be either my starting SF or PF, not sure yet. Printezis looks like a good project. He may head to D League. Salmons went down in outside, but up in defense. he will fight Kleiza for the SF job. Belinelli went up in defense and outside, but down in inside. He will be a nice backup option. Hello Joao Gomes. he is quite the project and will battle Belinelli for backup SG minutes. Felton up in defense. No change for Udrih. Jared Jordan will be a solid backup PG. He went up in outside and defense. A stint in the D League may help him, but I dont have another backup PG option atm.
Overall a good TC and glad to see that my team is younger, but should be okay and not be on the outside looking in come playoff time.

Positives - Aldridge Defense to B+. Down from A- to B+ inside, but I'll take that. - Odom looks pretty fucking sick now, not going to lie. C+ outside, B rebounding, B- handles. - Wagner didn't go down at all. B- Handles now. - D-League Prospect McGuire went from B defense to A- defense. Not bad.
Neutral - Durant went down inside, up in defense to A- though. He will be camped. - Foye went down in defense. Upsetting, but it happens.
Eh - Noah. What the fuck dude. -

Toronto Raptors would like to introduce the teams new projects:
Allan Raaaaaaayyyyy: C+ A- C+ B- D- B Shaaawwwwne Williaaaammsss: B- C+ C+ A- C+ B Demetris Nichoollssss: B C+ C C+ C B not bad for the 3rd to last pick Jeff Greeeeeeeeeeeen: B- C+ C B+ C A I'm liking this kid
Honestly though, Ray looks great even though all he upped was his inside. Really excited to test him out in Preseason, and to think he hasn't even been to the Dleague.
The same goes for Shawne Williams who upped his defense, but has yet to see any Dleague action.
Brandan Wright is pulling a Martynas: staying put despite an A potential.
Speaking of Martynas: Defense B --> A, Rebounding C+ ---> B- Thats what I get for giving up on a project.

With "the big club" -Duncan same -Dirk's rebounding went up. -KMart's outside, handles, defense and rebounding up -Xue stayed the same which is a lil disappointing but this is why we have camps. -Much to my surprise, Eddie Jones stayed the same, which has me very excited. -Nash's handles and defense went down but he's still a hell of a player. The "projects" -Leon Powe is here! B+ inside baby. I plan on camping and maybe even d-leaguing him and hopefully the defense and rebounds will rise from that. -Cenk Aykol had a boost in both defense and outside. I took a flier on this kid a couple seasons ago so if I get ANYTHING out of him I'll be mega happy. -As expected, Stuckey went up (outside and defense). I'm still on the fence about what to do with him this year but with a couple of good backup guards in Aykol, Hill and Barkley, I might just send him to the d-league if I'm unable to move him. Pretty great TC for the defending champions.

Overall, mixed feelings about this TC... Andriuskevicius (+2 defense, +1 rebounding) Chandler (-1 inside, -1 rebounding) Battie (same) Fesenko (-1 inside, +3 (handling, defense, rebounding)) Boozer (same) Frye (same..........) Traylor (same) Thaddeus Young (+1 rebounding... cool.....) Butler (+1 inside) Ginobili (+1 defense) Fernandez (+1 outside, -1 rebounding) Nick Young (+2 defense, +1 outside, -1 inside) Pietrus (-1 defense) Rodriguez (+1 handling, +2 defense, +1 rebounding) Pruitt (same...) Nick Young looks legit, as does Sergio Rodriguez now. Fesenko and Andriuskevicius were nice surprises. Kinda disappointed in Chandler, Frye, and Thaddeus but Im not worried about Thaddeus like i am with Frye.

Jerome James - up 1 down 1 Jason Smith - up 2 Keon Clark - up 1 Antonio McDyess - same Damir Markota - up 4 Joel Freeland - up 1 Antawn Jamison - up 1 down 1 Johnny Taylor - down 2 PJ Tucker - same Rashad McCants** - up 2 down 1 Chauncey Billups - down 1 Richard Hamilton- up 2 down 1 Omar Cook - up 3 down 1
overall pretty good TC as McDyess stayed the same, Billups slightly dipped, Hamilton improved, and Jamison became the defensive player I needed somewhere in the starting lineup. The improvement of McCants should hopefully make up for the departure of Spanoulis. Losing out on resigning Malik Rose though sucks.

I think that was a mixed training camp for the Spurs but hopefully I have enough to at least get into the playoffs this year.
Andrew Bynum: Rebounding went up 1 so he is now just 21 years old with ratings with B inside scoring, A- defense, and B+ rebounding. Hopefully the stats continue to improve.
Emeka Okafor: Defense dropped from an A to an A- but coming off a season where he averaged closed to 20/13 I'll take it and if he gives me something similar I should be in good shape.
Charlie Villanueva: Not really sure what to think of his ratings since all kinds of things moved around. Went from B- B- D+ B+ B- B to C+ B D B B- B. Hopefully that B potential is somewhat accurate and he bounces back next year or else going down at just 23 years of age is not a good sign.
Vassilis Spanoulis: His defense dropped one but need this guy to be a legit number one option since haven't had a good scoring shooting guard for a while. If he can live up to the contract I should be in decent shape.
Perhaps the two players I am most excited about though are:
Daequan Cook: Picked him up in the Mike Bibby deal and going back to D-League for a second year with current ratings of B B+ B- B- C B. If I can improve his defense a bit and he turns in an average training camp next year I might have found my future small forward. And speaking of Mike Bibby...
Marcus Williams: The guy drafted to take Bibby's spot went from C+ B B+ B- C- B to B- B A- B C- B That's a nice jump from year 1 to year 2 so I am hoping he can be a solid contributor on both ends of the court and continue to develop.
Mike Conley: Not sure what to do with this guy but his ratings seem a bit like Rondo's when he first hit the league. Went from C+ C B B D A to C+ C+ B+ B+ D+ B. So at least I know I have the point guard position on this team under control.

everyone stayed the same. Brad Millers rebounding got better, and WTF Kurt Thomas are you serious?
C C- D+ B+ B+ C to C+ C- C- A- B+ D
He looks promising at his old age. Both Ronnie Price and Gasol stayed the same, which really disappointed me. Walkers stayed the same cept his rebouding went down once agian. Vitaly improved on rebounding and defense. Overall only one person lost something that was Walker. Everyone else either stayed the same or got better which I am happy about.

I felt like rebuilding this year, but alot of my guys went to a solid A outside (bogans, Peja, Dickau still A) makes me think about maybe trying to compete with all my long-bombers one more year?

Karaulov improved, Sampson improved his defense and looks very nice. Bargs defense went up, need to get a camp in to up his scoring or rebounding. Melo improved his outside scoring as did Deng. Mr Wafer looks nice too aswell. Bayless went up outside and defense but inside dropped 1, hes still only 19 showing good signs.
Overally a nice TC for the Bucks. Need an upgrade at PG and id be very happy with the team going into the season.
