SAS: Tonight on Quite Frankly we will be joined by Portland Trailblazers guard Joe Johnson.
JJ: Aye yo, Stephen I brought you some cheese doodles for this interview.
SAS: My man, pass that bag. Ok let's get this interview started, we got some questions to address and some questions from our viewers.
JJ: Sounds good, get it started.
SAS: In the last game of your season you loss to the eventual champions the LA Lakers, what were your immediate thoughts?
JJ: Immediately I thought to myself that it was another wasted season because we didn't win the championship. I mean at the end of the day that's all that really matters, it's not about the individual awards or leading the league in points. I look at Pierce, Duncan and the rest of those guys and they got something I want. They got that ring, that trophy and I want it. It's a little hard to swallow because that's the Lakers, that's our division rivals.
SAS: All League First Team four years in a row, you would trade that in?
JJ: In a heartbeat, at the end of the day I can't go home and brag about that stuff man. All Paul has to do is show that ring finger and he wins. C'Mon you know that...
SAS: That's true, I just needed a moment to suck off the cheese on my fingers.
SAS: During the season you guys traded for Quentin Richardson, did he hurt or help?
JJ: Anytime you can add a player that is top ten in the league in scoring while playing good defense, you got to make that trade. Q is 27, I'm 26 I hope that we can have a long and bright future ahead of us.
SAS: What about the trade of Michael Redd?
JJ: At first I was taken back by it, I thought last year that Redd cemented his role with this team and expected him to be around for awhile. At the same time I understand that this is a business and that plays a large role. Michael was owed a lot of money, so maybe it was a finical move. Maybe MP saw it as a way to get a pick in this years draft, who knows.
SAS: When you look around the league and see only a handful of teams trying to win, how does that make you feel?
JJ: I feel that every team no matter what should always try and compete. I mean the favorites don't always win it all, who expected Brian and the Lakers to win it? That dude hasn't won in how many years? However he kept trying to put together the best possible team he could and he took down the Boston Celtics who I'm sure had to be the favorite to win it. Who would bet against the Grizz team that won those championships and LeBron on top of that?
SAS: So what do you say about those teams that keep rebuilding?
JJ: Get your act together, we need to balance out the power in this league.
SAS: OK, lets go live to some of our viewers. Bring up video one.
Question: Hey Joe Johnson, big fan. I was wondering if you ever thought about the trade rumor to send you to Boston?
JJ: Nah not really, you can't control that side of business. So your best off not trying to allow it to affect your game at all. However looking back at it, me pairing up with LeBron James could have done some real damage. I think the GM at the time was really high on Jay Williams, it's sad that the motorcycle crash took away his athleticism because he really does suck. I know there was some other pieces involved in the deal but that's old news. I'm here in Portland and I couldn't be happier.
SAS: Lets keep it moving, video two go.
Question: Why did you steal my name? I hate you.
JJ: Uhh, anyone screening these videos? Anyway to address the question, it wasn't my choice. This was the name I was given and carry. I could ask you why do I get so much hate mail, do I look like Pastor Joe Johnson, what your ass needs is Jesus. Next video...
SAS: What he said, next video.
Question: Does this work for you? You want some of this?
JJ: I don't know whether to be grossed out or impressed by that. Olivia that you? Damn I see that you have gotten better over the years. Does it work for me, not at this moment. Do I want some of that, you know my number.
SAS: Ahah my man.
JJ: Stephen you ever wonder why so many people don't like you?
SAS: CUZ I TALK LIKE THIS?
JJ: Well theres that but also what kind of videos are these. One legit question and the rest is stuff is garbage.
SAS: Quite frankly my show is on the ropes JJ, I need the viewers.
JJ: I'm outta here...
SAS: Quite frankly this is Stephen A Smith, please watch my show. I can't go back to Philly again!
