Big day tomorrow. Feel free to talk about the outcome of free agency here. Since I'm a hockey fan, I'm inviting any other hockey fans (*cricket*) to discuss as well...

MSG (knicks channel in the tri-state area) is having a midnight show to document the madness that will ensue

I don't think the NHL actually exists unless it's the playoffs

Chris Bosh is really enjoying this free agency . Reports say that he is twittering all meetings and with which teams he is meeting with .
I thought Salmons opted out it was what was reported earlier

Yeah, that contract is absurd. Management in ATL sucks. The same people that gave Shelden Williams confirmation before the 2006 draft that they would select him - and he was the only guy they worked out! I mean Brandon Roy, Rudy Gay, Rajon Rondo, and Paul Millsap were all taken after Williams. That is how much of a joke that franchise is, and always will be until they get sold, and get someone else in there calling the shots.

i think RJ actually made a SMART move opting out...yeah he wont earn $15Mil anywhere, but i guess it was more about bball than money to him...good for him...he'll end up with a team for the MLE, probably 5 years. Spurs werent' going to keep him around after this season anyway.
i wouldnt mind seeing him play for NJ again...that is, after we sign LeBron and Bosh :-)

awful... yeah this means Farmar is gone...the want Fisher to take a pay cut too, and Brown might come back to LA, but I heard Farmar is the odd man out...he should sign wherever the superstars head...he can get mid level money and compliment them as their PG

I don't know whats worse, the Hawks offering Johnson that contract or the fact that Johnson hasn't agreed to it yet. I am actually really suprised that the Hawks ownership would offer him the full out max weather he deserves it or not if of course another point.

warrick sucks..lol if nash can make him a good player I liked what I saw from Warrick after the Salmons trade. He's not a great player and he's not getting paid like a great player. He's a more athletic Gary Trent.

Amare to Knicks.. thoughts? I think this means LeBron isn't going to be playing for the Knicks next season. I also think the Knicks could use someone like Stoudemire, even if the consensus is that he is overrated. Whether he can get it done without Nash passing him the ball is another story though.

Comcast Sports Net Chicago is reporting that the Bulls and Blazers are close to wrapping up a Deng FOR Pryzbilla and Bayless deal. Dunno what to think about it. Obviously if the signing of a big name doesn't accompany this, bad deal for Chicago.

Just what Portland needs - another injury prone player. I don't get this deal for the Blazers, cos we already have Batum. However, I am hearing rumors that Batum will be packaged in a deal for CP3, and either Okafor, Peja, or Posey.
