The 2000 Olympic games will be held in Sydney, Australia. Several SSBL players have been invited to represent their country for the basketball tournament. Being the GM, you have a say in their decision to play this summer.
Accepting: If a player from your roster has been invited to play for his country, please accept/decline. Accepting player(s) from your roster will award you $250 (not per player). However, the only stipulation is that the player may incur an injury while playing in the offseason, which will carry over to the start of the 2000 season (nothing career/season-ending though).
I will run the Olympic sim and post the box scores before the 2000 Pre-season sim
Note: players with n/a will be updated once they sign with a team in SSBL
Green = will represent country
United States: Steve Smith - Magic Gary Payton - Sonics Vince Carter - Raptors Ray Allen - Bucks Vin Baker - Warriors Kevin Garnett - Timberwolves Tim Hardaway - Heat Allan Houston - Knicks Antonio McDyess - Nuggets Jason Kidd - Grizzlies Alonzo Mourning - Grizzlies Shareef Abdur-Rahim - Grizzlies
Australia: Chris Anstey - Nuggets Luc Longley - Celtics
China: Wang Zhi Zhi - China - Jazz
New Zealand: Sean Marks - n/a (FA)
Canada: Steve Nash - Spurs Todd MacCulloch - Suns
Serbia: Predrag Stojakovic - Hornets Igor Rakocevic - Jazz Marko Jaric - Clippers - inellgible for $250 (since he wont even play on your team)
Russia: Andrei Kirilenko - Timberwolves inellgible for $250 (since he wont even play on your team)

Michael Finley feels the sting. Excellent idea, like the creativity on this one. Will there be an actual sim for this in which a winner is crowned?

Vince Carter looks forward to dunking over anyone, even if they are well over 7 foot tall.
He accepts.

I decided not to upload boxes and crap but i'll just post results of the sim and provide some analysis
btw, those who didn't accept/decline their players, i really should have found a replacement for those roster spots, but meh, too close to preseason and TC so i'll do that for the next olympics

A preliminary game against Lithuania, the U.S. team won 85–76. Two games later, in a 106–94 victory over France, Vince Carter pulled off one of the most famous dunks in basketball history, jumping over 7'2"/2.18 m French center Frédéric Weis on his way to the basket. (The French media would dub Carter's feat le dunk de la mort—"the dunk of death".) The United States managed to hold-off Lithuania by only two points, 85–83, after Lithuanian star Sarunas Jasikevicius missed a desperation three-pointer at the buzzer that would have won the game. The USA won the gold medal against France in a very close game, 85–75.
