Day 75: Hornets 111 - Spurs 87[/b]
With a pair of road losses to begin the second half of the season, things were beginning to look a lot like the first half of the season for the Spurs. Staying out on the road, the team headed out east to Charlotte to take on the Hornets. While the team did get off to a solid start in the first quarter, things quickly went downhill from this point and this was highlighted by the 36-17 third quarter performance put on by the home team. In the win the Hornets had six players score at least 10 points and were led by an overall solid performance by Jamal Crawford with 23 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists. As for the losing Spurs, they also had six players in double figures with Vassilis Spanoulis leading the team with 16 points. In addition, Andrew Bynum was huge on the boards with 22 rebounds but when the team shoots a meager 33.7 percent from the field that can factor in that.
Day 77: Spurs 105 - Suns 97[/b]
After a day off, the team stayed out on the road as they made the trip to Phoenix to face off against a new look Suns squad led by superstar Joe Johnson. This was a game that saw each team control a half with the Suns leading by 11 points at halftime but saw San Antonio come out and control the second half to pick up a much needed win. Although it was in a defeat, Joe Johnson did his usual thing and blew up for a triple-double with 38 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists against second year point guard Marcus Williams. In the win, the Spurs had three players (Vassilis Spanoulis, Michael Olowokandi, and Andrew Bynum) who all had 20 or more points with recent D-League call up Daequan Cook contributing with 12 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists.
Day 78: Spurs 107 - Grizzlies 81[/b]
Coming off a much needed win on the road, the Spurs returned to the Alamo City for what could be described as a critical five game homestand. First up on the schedule was a divisional battle against a new look Grizzlies squad. The key in this game came in the fourth quarter as the Spurs were able to use the energy of the home crowd to go on a 30-13 run to secure the win. In the loss, the new duo of Andre Iguodala and Rajon Rondo were solid as they combined for 34 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists. With regard to the Spurs, they once again used a balanced attack with each member of the starting lineup having at least 14 points with Andrew Bynum leading the way with 24 points and 15 rebounds.
Day 79: Spurs 108 - Bucks 107[/b]
With a pair of wins to try to build momentum, the Spurs would face a tough task on this day as they welcomed a talented Milwaukee Bucks team to town for their annual trip. This was an exciting game that went back and forth and came down to the wire as the home team was able to hold on and pick up the win by a single point. Although it came in a loss, Milwaukee point guard Chauncey Billups showed why he is one of the best in the league as he went for 28 points, 14 assists, and 7 rebounds in 42 minutes of action. As for San Antonio, they had five players register in double figures and point guard Marcus Williams showed why he is one of the emerging stars in the league with a triple-double that featured 30 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists in addition to 7 steals as well.

Hoping to end the fourth month of the season on a positive note, the team welcomed another squad from the Eastern Conference to town, the Atlanta Hawks. This was another exciting battle that came down to the end with the Spurs edging out the victory by a single point in a hard fought battle. On this particular night the Hawks were led by Steve Francis as he did a little bit of everything with his 26 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists while playing a team high 40 minutes. The home team was able to get a bit of balance with five players scoring between 15 to 21 points with Andrew Bynum going for a team high 21 points and getting lots of help from fellow post player Michael Olowokandi with 16 points and 18 rebounds on the night.
